Does this need the cutting mat?

It does not need a mat to cut with the Joy. All "smart" materials from Cricut can be cut with the Joy without a mat.

19ft thats over 5 and a half meters is that right ??

I think its supposed to say 19 inch not 19 ft. The box definitely says 19 inch which is around 48cm
