Is this dishwasher safe?

do NOT put the turntable in the dishwasher. I read it was dishwasher safe to so I took off the top piece and put it on the top rack of my dishwasher and it warped it. Everything else seems fine when washed. I just wanted to thoroughly clean the turntable after the frosting got dried on it. :/

Is the turntable noisy when you rotate it?

This turntable is quiet! Not noisy at all.

I don't really know, but it's a moot point. The cake will not touch the plastic. You will use cardboard or parchment paper.

Does it have a brake to lock it in place?

No it does not. It is very basic. It turns well, and it doesn't really move when not being moved.

Waste of money

If you have a budget more than that of this product, I would recommend not buying this product.I just started making cakes and thought it would be a budget-friendly instrument but it was just a waste of money. Over that, there was mud and dust in the entire packaging.1) Plastic Turn Table: the thing is not sturdy whatsoever, its lightweight (without a cake on top) and has no grip so it will slip around if you are not extremely gentle. Over that its main function of turning itself is really janky, I think the ballbearing too are made of plastic.2) The Knives: there are 3 types of cake smoother as shown in the picture. The entire body may be of 10-ish inches but the blades are just around 6 inches. Personally, that's not convenient enough. Something around 8+ would help you more.3) Cake Scrapers: They were not of the same design as shown in the image on the website. They were green and made of plastic. So they had extra bits of thin plastic here and there, making the "designing part" pointless as they would make the sides rough and inconsistent.

Worth the money

I really love the product. It's worth the price. And it was exactly as shown in the pictures. The palette knives are slightly flimsy but they get the job done. Love the turn table though. Works fine.
