Ive tried for years to keep the rugs on our hard wood floors from sliding every where and to lay flat. Tape non skid matts, nothing seemed to work. We have had these Never Curl Rug Corner Grippers on our 2 rugs for the last 9 months. I have to say these really work. The rugs stay in place, even when you vacuum them. The also will release from the floor so you can clean underneath the rug and then they just stick back down.

Unfortunately, while I hoped these would do the trick, they did not. I needed to use them on a runner that kept moving. It was situated on top of carpeting. So rug on rug. While the movement slowed dow a little, it still kept moving like the magic carpet it seems to be.

I was looking for something better than my Dad’s method of putting down clear packing tape to keep the rugs from "curling" up and being a tripping hazard! I came upon this item by accident while searching for furniture movers on carpets.These worked really well and came at a reasonable deal for 8 – ideal for 2 whole rugs; one for each corner. But that’s not how I intended to use these…I actually intended for these to lay down flat on the sides of the rugs where there is the high traffic and not necessarily on the corners.My comments on application…It would have been (more) helpful to show that there are 4 sticker “pads” on each one; 2 for the rug, 2 for the floor – they only state & identify 2 that go on the “rug side”. Also – one of my complaints – is that you better get it right the first time; the adhesive “stickiness” really gets undone if you were to pull it off and attempt to re-apply. Pulling it off also pulls away rug and dust particles that keep it from being "sticky". If anything, I used the “replacement” strips to stick upon the “pads”, and then pull it off said “pads” which also pulled off the carpet or dust (from the floor) to create a pure, sticky surface on the “pads” once again. I’m unsure if that’s the true purpose of these “replacement” strips – as the instructions were confusing; another complaint – but whether it was or wasn’t its true purpose, it still worked well for my intentions and I was able to apply the NeverCurl.Another piece of advice; don’t apply it like any of the portrayals or examples shown here on the product description or the packaging. If you do, the verrrry edge of the rug might/will still stick up if walked/kicked upon – thus causing a tripping hazard which is one of the main reasons for using this! I had to apply these to the VERY edge of the rug to satisfy my mother (whose house I was applying these to, in regards to my elderly father). But, to end on a good note, it seems to have worked perfectly and exactly as intended – i.e. I could near kick the edge of the rug and it would not fold or “curl” up.So, to sum up, my only complaints were that you better get your application right the first time around as these are rather “one-time application” type of tools – although, you might have luck as I did using the “replacement” strips if done properly – and that the instructions for the “replacement” strips were rather confusing. In any case, once figured out and applied properly, these worked like a charm! I intend on purchasing these constantly as needed for the future…!
