The arbor on my grinder measures at 14.4mm. There is a mounting plate to accommodate the standard grinding disc with a 22mm bore.

Does it eat through batteries?

I use dewalt 4, 5 or 6ah batteries and all seem to give excellent run- the 6.0 ah is a great investment for this tool power and runtime.
