Varnishing acrylic works protects against damage, dirt, UV light, unifies sheen, and enhances colour. Liquitex offers Basics and Professional varnishes.

Q: HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT BETWEEN APPLYING EACH LAYER OF LIQUITEX PERMANENT SPRAY VARNISH?

Ensure the artwork is fully dry before varnishing and allow at least 12 hours drying between coats of varnish.

Q: CAN I USE LIQUITEX VARNISHES TO PROTECT ARTWORKS, INCLUDING GICLEE PRINTS AND TRADITIONAL GOUACHE PAINTINGS?

On giclee prints, use Liquitex Gloss Varnish or Soluvar, starting with a fine mist and layering coats for best results. For waterproofing gouache on canvas, use Permanent Spray Varnish, but subsequent paint layers may not adhere to the varnish.
