Le Creuset Stoneware Signature Batter Bowl, 3.2qt., Sea Salt

The batter bowl was a birthday gift for a friend who recently retired and now has time to bake. She loved it. The color is great for her kitchen and she loves its size and spout.

I love the bowl itself and Le Creuset has a great reputation. My problem was with the packaging. It’s a breakable bowl that was packaged in a box with no padding. When mine arrived it was pouring outside and I didn’t even cut the box open, it just ripped open and I caught the bowl before it fell on the ground. If the seller sees this, please package items better in the future.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE Le Creuset products. We use their pots and pans, their bakeware, bowls and utensils. Their products are well made. This purchase is the second batter bowl we are adding to our collection. We store pancake batter, etc, in the fridge sometimes directly in the bowl, covered with plastic wrap and have had a number of occasions where it would have been handy to have more than one bowl. This 2 Qt bow is perfect for storing ice cream batter in the refrigerator so it can be easily added to your ice cream maker. It is heavy ceramic that has a nice thick glaze on it. A must have for every home cook.

What you expect from this brand.

As expected, truly spot on in size, color, and perfect for my kitchen.

It is heavier than expected but is very classy and looks good while fulfilling its function.

It’s slightly larger than my 8 cup Pyrex measuring cup but considerably heavier. It feels nice and solid in the hands. The other stoneware I have from Le Creuset cleans up well and I expect this will as well. Looks great on countertop or table. Quality is top notch. Four stars for weight only. Smaller chefs might find it unwieldy. Would like to have one half the size.
