4.5 Electrified Guitars for Trusting Gibson
I read the first book over a year ago, so I didn’t remember a lot of specifics, but I remembered the brilliant plot line that brought Chloe and Gibson together initially. There are enough mentions to jump start my memory. However, I would highly recommend having read the first book before you start on this one as it does start right after the previous one ends, and the mentions are really just enough to jog the memory of those who read the first one and not enough to tell the full story.Gibson has decided that Chloe is THE ONE, but how does the world's biggest rock star, who has a very sordid history with a very large number of the female population - Chloe saw this first hand when he was a teenager before he even got signed - convince her their short time together has changed him. Chloe still feels he's only with her because the media outted her whereabouts to her abusive ex. That would be a big enough issue for any couple to try to overcome, but a string of women bearing down on her when they have to go back to his real world makes things that much harder, while he is doing everything he can to take care of her and make her feel safe. Throw in the fact that the ex she worked so hard to escape is still on the loose, it is easy enough to see how she could feel everything is being done out of guilt rather than love.I'm hesitant to go any further into details but a traumatic event occurs and shows everyone - except maybe Chloe herself, at least at first - just how dedicated he is to her. It is touching to see how he has changed - not for her, but because of her.I love the way Ms Shandwick portrays him as so typically male, so dense about so many things...such as his friend Morgan. If I didn’t like Chloe so much I could almost feel sorry for her. He is definitely an alpha male, but in a sweet and not controlling way, if that makes any sense. It's a steep learning curve for him, but for the most part he gets straight A's in becoming everything Chloe needs him to be.One difference I noticed, and probably the reason it took me so long to get around to reading this one, is that the editing in this one is so much better than the first book in the series. It was so much easier to read, and has left me hoping for a book three very soon. For mature audiences only due to explicit sexual content, and potential trigger warnings for stalking and kidnapping.

Oh my word !! I have been waiting for the return of Mr Gibson Barclay with bated breath and I can honestly say I was not disappointed in the slightest!I absolutely loved the first book of this series and I admit I was a little unsure if the sequel would live up to my hopes of how the story would go. I need not have worried because KL Shandwick actually exceeded my expectations and then some !!The first book had me frustrated and twisted in knots at the way the characters played out the story and I wasn't sure if I would feel the same feeling of turmoil and angst again. HOWEVER this book truly did pull at every heart string and every emotion I felt while reading this book was amplified immensely. Not only does this author manage to evoke a mired of feelings she also has her finger on the readers pulse and knows now to make it quicken. The relationship between Gibson and Chloe is more raw in this novel and I have to admit made me shed the odd tear. This book picks up the story from the close of the first and we find Gibson Barclay is determined to be more than his label, he is set on showing he's not what the paparazzi portray him as being, especially for Chloe. In this part of the story we get to see more of the real Gibson. Gibson the man not Gibson the rock star. We actually get to see his personality come to the forefront as he faces the biggest battle of his life to essentially save the woman he loves in more ways than one. I really felt like the dynamics of the relationship altered throughout the story and shifted from Chloe being the one saving Gibson from himself to him saving her. This showed the reality of people's lives and just how complicated they can be.Whilst reading this I was reminded of the story Sleeping Beauty, in that Chloe seemed to fall into a trance after a traumatic experience and needed her prince to kiss her sleep away. Well Chloe may not have been in a state of sleep but she needed her superman to lift her up. Which is perfect that the song by Daughtry 'waiting for superman' was KL Shandwicks muse for that part of the book. I love it !!It's my personal opinion that this series has been the best I've read in the rock star genre.KL Shandwick doesn't just give the reader a hot story filled with music or randy rock stars, she delivers a whole lot more to do with relationships, people and life !Bravo ! This is definitely 5 *'s from me. I can't wait to read more from this author.

What a Fantastic Ending
I absolutely loved Gibson's Legacy and couldn't wait to read Trusting Gibson, which finishes the story of Gibson and Chloe.Wow, and what ending it was, the characters developed as did the story. I loved the angst and the love and the music. I will not tell you anything about the story, you just have to read it, don't want to give anything away.I gave it 4 stars purely as for me there was a little too much sex. Now don't get me wrong I am no prude and love a good sex scene in a book, I just felt they slightly over rode the story. However that is just my opinion. As far as the rest of the story went it was awesome. Loved it.Definite must read after you have read Gibson's Legacy.

Gibson just gets better...
After the end of the first book I could not wait for the second and i was not disappointed! The first book I absolutely loved, the second book I loved even more if that is possible! I have to say I love Gibson, definitely one of my top bbfs of all times!! This book had it all, the angst, the emotions, the HOT scenes, everything that you want from a hot Rock Star book!I won't give anything away because you really need to read this for yourselves to see how brilliant it is but I will say that this book gave even more depth into Gibson's character, it showed the reader his personal side, his thoughts and feelings and fears, not just what he is as a rock star. I loved this because it made him seem so much more real and not just the famous person that he is to the world. You could clearly see his love for Chloe, what a decent man he is always trying to be towards her and how much he really is trying to earn her trust and hep her put all her fears behind her after the bad relationship with Kace.Chloe definitely came into herself more in this book as well, it showed her as the strong sassy girl that she is, how after everything she dealt with, and had to deal with in this book, actually made her stronger and realise how much she loved Gibson. She allowed herself to trust him and to let her heart lead her despite the risk it was for her to make.Again it had the dual POV's which I really love, it gives us so much more into their characters and we as a reader understands their thoughts and feelings much better. This book had a major turn in it which I really wasn't expecting, but then I like this because it wasn't predictable at all!The ending was lovely and if KL decides to do another book about Gibson and Chloe I would definitely be reading it!!Overall I think this is a brilliant series and totally worth the 5*. Highly recommend it!!

Trust in Love
Trust is one of the hardest things to do, especially when you have put your trust in someone whole heartedly and they have let you down in the worst way. It's something that Chloe struggles with. What makes her doubtful is Gibson's legacy. He's a Rockstar and can have women whenever he wants, but what he wants now more than anything is Chloe. Life is not all Rock and Roll, after show parties and woman whenever he wants. Gibson has feelings, he's a man first, who then became a Rockstar. People only see, Gibson the Rockstar not the real Gibson. To me, I was not only reading about a Rockstar and all his flaws or about Chloe and her past, but a compelling story of love and trust. How life can change dramatically. How people cope with trauma, not just the person who has had a traumatic experience but all those around that it also affects.Life can be cruel sometimes but I also believe, everything happens for a reason. You can survive anything, overcome anything if you have the right people around you, who love and care for you no matter what. There is humour in this book that had me laughing out loud. It is also a sexy read, some very intense moments. I was drawn in to continue turning the pages. I would loved to read more of Gibson & Chloe's story. I hope there will be a book three. I couldn't possibly sum up this book with one word because it was, brilliant, sexy, funny, compelling. I loved it.

Absolutely fantastic..!! 5*
Oh my goodness this is so good, the first book was brilliant but Trusting Gibson was even better, I loved how it opened up straight off the back of Gibson's Legacy. What I particularly like K.L.Shandwick style she gets the balance spot on, Gibson and Chloe's story unfolds beautifully there's such a level of hesitation all the way through, it's touch and go with them and you desperately want things to work out, the story is proportioned really well.Just when you think it can't get any worse the inevitable happens and the story becomes almost torturous and unbearable to read because you feel absolutely everything that Gibson is feeling and going through it's portrayed so well.I have been so consumed with Gibson and Chloe's story that I didn't want it to end, I just wish there could be a 3rd book, this Author has got a superb way with words and yes I'm talking about Gibson and all his sexy talk and banter he's defiantly one of my favourites..!!The ending didn't feel rushed at all, it all played out beautifully but you still find yourself holding your breath at times.I honestly can't praise this series enough if you want a scorching hot but very tense and on the edge read then this is it without a doubt, as I've said it's extremely well written you will not be disappointed.Thank you for this fabulous series..

The stage is lit, the band is in place, let the curtain go up!!!!!
Holy smoke!! Wow, i jumped at the chance of an ARC of Trusting Gibson, and i was hopeful it would be a good read, (rolls eyes to myself) i always under estimate K.L.Shandwick, she delivers a great book, and story at every turn, along with HAWT Book Covers!!Gibson and Chloe kick off where we left them in Gibson's Legacy. And K.L's writing only improves with 'age' like a fine wine, with more amazing hot scenes, real life issues faced on this book had me gripped from the start. Was Chloe frustrating, yes, was Gibson wanting to be seen other than the front man, lead singer? Yes. Does K.L.Shandwick give dual POV's, from Chloe and Gibson. Yes. Thats where we can read, feel and sense what each character are going through. KL very cleverly writes about issues some writers wonld not dare to delve into. You see that not all lead singers are what you think they are, they are an image. You see a broken girl able to build herself back up, with a little help and guidance from the love of her life.Do Gibson and Chloe over come hurdles, and show everyone they are stronger together than apart? You will just have to One click and find out.....Yes my review has more questions than answers, but the quality of this story is worth every page turner....
