Extremely helpful, covers concepts in detail wherever necessary. I personally refer physical metallurgy by dieter along with this book. Really worth to buy and highly recommended for P.hd research scholars.

It's a nice book covering the syllabus of Mechanical Metallurgy in a vague manner. Point to note: The book is not meant for people looking for explanation of topics in a summarized manner.

An excellent review that gives the details of mechanisms and their associated mathematics in an accessible format for undergraduate and graduate readers in a range of disciplines. The book fills a gap between the detailed, discipline specific texts and the mechanistic discussions of the subject that are common in books prepared for other disciplines.The production (text and figures) are excellent. The kindle format seems to have embedded page faults that make access to certain parts of the text a challenge.
