BissellEasy Sweep Compact Carpet & Floor Sweeper, 2484A, Teal

We had one of these when I was a kid, and I always thought it was the coolest thing, being able to vacuum without electricity. I ordered this two days ago and got it today. Took about two minutes to screw the handle together and start sweeping. We have a black Lab whose main job is to shed buckets of hair. This picked up tons of dog hair, along with crumbs and other sweepings. The main thing I wanted it for was to be able to vacuum a very thin rug that’s under our dining room table. I can’t use a regular vacuum because the suction is too powerful and sucks the rug up. This was perfect. No crumbs or dog hair on that rug, and this was only $20. So far, so good!

I absolutely Love this handy little sweeper. I bought one 4 years ago, still using it and now, I purchased another for my 85 year old neighbor. It picks up everything and I have a cat, plus, easy to clean out and extremely easy to push. I have a shark for my heavy cleaning and for furniture but this hand sweeper is the Best, and it is so cheap, how can someone not want it, Buy it, you will be happy with it

I use this for rugs and it does a pretty good job. Obviously it's not going to do what a vacuum would, but for a quick pickup of pet hair, etc...it is handy in a pinch.

I don’t normally write reviews but I had to for this one! I have an elderly dog that has to have rugs all around the house due to having LVP floors and her slipping. My vacuum suction is too strong to function properly on any of the rugs but I still needed to clean them somehow. Using a broom was somewhat working but time consuming and not the best route. I bought this sweeper and it was very easy & quick to put together and empty. If at first it makes an awful weird noise and there’s no resistance, keep rolling it a few times until you feel a bit of resistance and the noise is basically gone. I just brushed off all the rugs 2 days ago (we have 1 cat and 1 dog) and used this sweeper today and the amount that it picked up is insane. The rugs have no dirt or hair left on them and it was so efficient! 11/10 recommend! The handle did not screw on like it said but if you push down and turn at the same time, it goes on and stays in place (there are no threads on the inside of the handle). Great product & would definitely recommend especially for the price!!

I was about to rate this higher, but after 3 days of use around the house, the sweeper is barely working. Some of the bristles have folded over into the wheels and seem to block them from spinning.Pros:-Seems to hold a lot of dog hair, was cleaning pretty well at first.-Stands on its own-Easy to set up and use-Easy to empty-Works on hardwood, tile, and carpet-Great for a quick sweep in open areasCons:-The handle/grip falls off very easily. It should probably screw on, but it slides on..and off.-Unable to hang by handle-Does not clean edges. I still have to sweep or vacuum along the walls, furniture, and under the couch. The location of the rolling brush means there’s about a 2” strip that the sweeper can never reach.

1. Make sure the logo is pointing the right direction, (forward) or it won't pick up anything at all. Inform all users (20+) that it will only work if the word "Bissell" is away from the user's feet. An arrow and a helpful word like "front" would save everyone a lot of aggravation when using. Instead, each person forgets, gets frustrated when "it's not working!", berates me, and then remembers this rule, only to promptly forget it again.2. The plastic handle top piece (on ours) won't attach to the metal pole, and we all gave it a go. The 3 metal pieces of the pole went together easily, but the top plastic handle shouldn't take 20+ people screwing their wrists off to attach. It's still not attached, but each person can't believe the other 20+ people didn't mess it up, and has to try it for him/her/themself. Because the plastic handle won't attach to the metal pole, we cannot hang it in our storage room as intended. Instead, we now enjoy it's festive teal presence in our breakroom. We love to eat lunch with floor cleaning tools close to hand.3. The plastic handle also prevents the metal pole from digging into one's palms when using, so without securely fastening to the metal, it falls off-a lot, which all of us find very annoying (see picture of handle on floor.)4. It picks up about 1/3 of anything one tries to sweep up, so one ends up using 3x the force to fully sweep up debris-on a hard surface floor. (see picture of small debris on floor in front of sweeper) I can't even imagine what it won't do on a carpet. A dustpan and broom would be less effort, but would not be a single, contained unit. My team seems to lose dustpans, so the sweeper appeared to be a solution for this problem.5. Finally, to empty the canister, one must use 2 hands to push open the bottom indentations (which are dirty/dusty), and there are two levers (one on each side) to empty. I believe a better design would allow a user to empty the sweeper one-handed, and without having to get so up-close and handsy with a dirty item.In short, this item is a lot more work to use than it should be. It's great for people who really feel like pushing a sweeper vigorously is accomplishing something. It does pick up some things (but not all the things). It can also provide a brisk workout and allow frustrated people to blow of steam, benefits which are not mentioned in the product description.

I used this in my daycare classroom after breakfast lunch and snack not for big messes or anything but it worked to clean up little ones. It’s good quality. Needs emptied a lot though

I am thrilled! Small, light and works perfectly! My English Cream Goldie sheds like mad, This sweeper pulled all of the hair off of the carpet, and tile floors, also sandy dirt from agricultural neighborhood. No noise to make other dog go nuts! I love this. Exactly what I expected. Yes you can get a bigger heavier industrial one, but, this is all I wanted and needed.
