Exact fit
Both of these gaskets fit perfectly on my Kitchen Aid K5SS Mixer. I’m 100% satisfied with the quality and precision fit of these gaskets. I did use both gaskets. As a master gasket. I traced both gaskets out on the proper thickness of gasket material. Just in case I would either have to take apart the gear box again and remove clean out the old grease then add new grease. The gasket that goes on the back of my Kitchen Aid K5SS. Became very fragile and easily broke inside 4 pieces. I purchased the Kitchen Aid K5SS new in 1984. I use this mixer a real lot. Besides using the Mixer for making whole grain wheat berries. I also purchased an aluminum Meat grinder attachment. I never purchase grains meat. I wait until there is a good sale on Beef,Pork and a whole turkey. I grind the meat and vacuum seal it in nylon bags. The ground meats easily last over a year and no freezer burn. After 40 years a lot of use. The only maintenance I’ve ever had to do. Is the required maintenance. I removed, cleaned out all the grease and replaced the gear box grease and a new gasket, 1 set of brushes. Checked all the gears for wear. Especially the nylon gear that moves from the motor’s worm gear. After 40 years. the speed control panel and the control board needed replaced because the speed control panel wore out. So i decided to also replace control board. The gasket that is placed on the end of my mixer. To protect the control board and speed control panel, from the wires rubbing against the metal. That would eventually wear off the wires insulation. Causing a short and most likely burn the windings on the motor ruining the motor. and short out the control board and possibly the speed control panel. This particular gasket became fragile from years of heat cycles when using the mixer and it broke into 4 pieces. When I carefully tried to remove it. This gasket isn’t held down by screws. It just fits around the back area of my mixer. It didn’t become fragile because of the manufacturer that made the gasket. But because of the many heat cycles and the gasket’s age.

A perfect fit for my K5SS mixer.
These gaskets are the correct size, well made and packaged safely with cardboard so they don't get bent in shipping. I rebuilt my twenty year old K5SS mixer with them, and they fit perfectly. Buy with confidence!

A great replacement
I decided to regrease my mixer and replace the gasket. This fit perfectly and was a good replacement for the original gasket.I decided to replace the rear gasket near the motor as well, but I can't recommend that unless absolutely necessary as it is much harder to install and it is not immediately apparent which way to fold the rear gasket and I ended up snapping the first one I purchased. Once I got the second one in it fits very nicely.
