why is the mouse different when you change the colours ?

no mate , is a great mouse i had the ss SENSEi ten and that mouse was doing double click.. this one is very good

Would the smaller mouse be recommended for better aim, as ive seen the "free movement" description for the smaller models?

The size of the mouse is only relevant to the size of your hand tbh. Smaller is only better if it’s a better fit for you. Google Zowie sizing guide (theirs loads out there). Best mouse ive used as it’s the best fit size wise.
