PreSonus Studio 1810c 18x8, 192 kHz, USB Audio Interface with Studio One Artist and Ableton Live Lite DAW Recording Software

I was a many year user of Cakewalk's Sonar. And did not like the direction Bandlab was taking it. So I looked around and Studio One looked pretty nice. I bought the 1810c with the included Studio One license. I couldn't be happier with both of them. Studio One is remarkably similar to Sonar. After a brief familiarization with it, I was able to jump right in and start using it. The 1810c is an excellent piece of gear. For a single user home recording setup, it has everything I will ever need. The sound quality is really good. The direct Z monitoring solves any latency issues if your PC is not a powerhouse. I have a Dell Inspiron 1310 and it works fine. Overall I'm very impressed with them.

and of course support is basically not available. if the docs and pics in the docs were accurate and complete this unit would be self serve. but much of what is found in the manuals or on their forums just does not match the actual unit. but if you are willing to take the time you can use it well. For instance, some articles inside the online manual are just empty. Roland has the same issues with their docs as do just about all music products. It's the one area the music industry could really improve.....and I own a software company so I know the drill.

Great product with tons of features. Would recommend to anyone wanting to get into music production.

This is a great looking product but the driver downloads from Presonus are poorly done. The updater that comes with it actually changes the drivers that I installed each time I turn on the computer. This keeps me from being able to use it. There are no instructions. You're on your own.

I had to step up in quality and functionality needing to move up to 4 channels for home recording. Having used the same interface for almost 10 years, I was starting to have issues with latency. The Presonus thus far has exceeded my expectations. What really struck right of the bat, was the sound quality. I use it with the Presonus Studio One DAW and it is the perfect companion.

The product worked as expected.The only detail I found was that the mix is kept until you power off the device.By default, only the 4 front channels work without USB. I use it with my laptop but I unplug it often, so I have to keep my most used instruments hooked to the 4 front channels.Great product!

I've got this plugged in to my Mac and it works wonders. Mac just worked. Heck, I can even use it as an audio source for conference calls, which I had not considered when I got this more for audio production.
