I love these bird calls
I love these bird calls. I bought this as a spare in case I lose / misplace the one I normally use. If you love watching / calling birds ... this is a great tool. With a little practice, can make an incredible variety of sounds / calls. Very easy to imitate a pissed-off red squirrel noise. Often birds will come to investigate. Also very easy to imitate hummingbird calls; I have been closely (2-3 feet) investigated by many Ruby Throats, Annas, Costa's and Rufous hummingbirds. Also, very easy to call in wrens; especially Winter Wrens.

Neat little gadget!
I had one of these 40-some years ago, and remembered it very fondly. I spotted this on Amazon, and couldn't resist buying one. It's just as delightful as I remembered it! I sat in the back yard and played with it for nearly an hour yesterday, attracting (annoying?) the house finches, an Anna's hummingbird and a few other curious desert birds. I was so tickled with this that I bought another as a Father's Day gift for someone else I know has fond memories of it. 10/10 worth every penny!

) Much fun! We have a ball going into the woods ...
Got this on a lark (no pun intended) as a Grampa treat for my two Grandkids (Grampa likes it too.) Much fun ! We have a ball going into the woods and "chirping" at the birds (who honestly seem to respond). It also provides educational opportunities for the boys since we search various bird calls online and then try to reproduce them with the caller. Product arrived from seller loose with no packing tossed into a too big box but since the caller is wood and metal there was no damage, just disappointment at poor "here-ya-go" packaging. Considering the price of toys for the boys today, this is a inexpensive but top quality learning "toy" . . . great practical fun!

Extraordinary array of calls and easy to learn
This thing can mimic just about any songbird. There are no usage instructions but it's super easy to learn just by fiddling with it for a bit. Basically, every kind of manipulation makes a different bird sound. I was able to have a very excited conversation with my neighbor's parakeet within a few minutes of opening it. I hope I didn't insult him. This would be a great novelty gift or stocking stuffer.

Best pocket toy ever. Great conversation piece.
Everyone I’ve ever showed this too asked where to get one. I usually just give them mine, and buy another. Great little toy. Works great.

The box is not good for gifting
5 stars for bird call quality! 1 star for being able to gift it. The package which is clearly intended to be a nice case to gift and keep the bird call in came with an unsightly sticker that was impossible to get fully rid of. My in-laws probably won’t care but it irked me.

Cute and unusual gift
I bought this as a sound effect for a story we read at my partner's memorial. The actual sound of birds complemented the whole thing. So this can be use for a theatrical effect! Will try on real birds soon. Plus, the design is very cute and looks great as a knick knack on a shelf.
