As an electric motor designer I liked very much the old edition of this book. Miller and Hendershot did a master piece!Probably this book will be a new reference about Brushless motors. The quality of the pictures and the paper are in accordance to this new edition.It has the full theory about this kind of machine as well it presents a lot of examples. Regardless the high cost of this book, in my humble opinion it is a must for everyone who is planning to study or design Brushless PM motors.

This book is one of the best books in the design of the machines specially the Brushless Permanent Magnet Machine.It considers the design of several types of PM machines.This book presents the informations in a very simple way.

Good book. Should be in your home library if you are a machine guy.

This book is both experimental and theoretical data based for the hobbyist or practicing engineer. I have used the first edition for several years and was happy to finally see the updated version come out. Applicable to a large number of design applications.

This book is great for PM motor design and all practical issues. It is made from many years experience from the authors, and is easy to read. I would recommend it to anyone looking to gain insight into PM motor and generator design.

Took the Speed Course. Very good book for modern motor design. It is linked to the software so if you plan to use Speed Software then this is your book.
