Works well, gives me peace of mind when been traveling
Very easy to assemble, sturdy and is a great size - my large travel bag fits in as is. Heats up relatively quickly and throughout unit but does get very hot so I check on the temp periodically. Mine typically gets to 145/150 - I checked the temp with 2 independent thermometers and it reads pretty true. Photo is when taken out of the bag and gone to room temp - can see the max temp at 151 and when I checked with my 2 thermometers during the heating cycle, they concurred. The temp probe screen goes blank when hot tho in the unit so can only see the max temp reached when out of the bag and cooled so I also include my 2 independent thermometers in the unit when using so I know temp in real time. Great to have this to use when returning from trips. I tried out with handbags, shoes and belts as well as clothes, cushions, bedding etc - all were fine. I accidentally kept my small flashlight in the bag tho and it became misshapen and no longer works. I since bought a second one so we can heat treat travel bags/accessories for 2 people concurrently.

I Hope You Never Need This. If You Do, Buy This One.
I hope you never need this, truly. If you do, buy this one. It worked really well. If you put books in it, take them out when they are done and DO NOT OPEN them for a few days. Give them time to completely cool and for the binding glue to harden up again. Lay them flat while they are cooling. If you do this, they will be fine. If you open the book before it is fully cooled, you will break the binding. Put in a book that you don't extra care about first and you will see. Do not put anything in them that can melt. If you wouldn't put it in the clothes dryer or dishwasher, it shouldn't go in here. Great for clothing, stuffed animals, wooden items, etc. Be careful when you load it. The items in it will soften while heating. I put a basket of stuffed animals in it. The basket came out misshapen because gravity acted on the wicker while it was soft. It definitely kills bugs and I would call it easy to use. I found it a good value for the money even though it was pretty expensive. I would have had to throw a lot of items out if I had not been able to heat treat them with this. We called it the Hotbox lol

Outstanding product, highly recommended
This product works exactly as described. It has a large capacity and the heat is contained so that it does not heat up the room. It is easy to assemble- my teenage son set it up. It is also very straightforward to use. I appreciate the peace of mind that it provides. Also, I messaged the seller with a question regarding the warranty and LESS THAN 2 HOURS LATER, I received a response from the Operations Director! Not only did he answer my question, he provided his cellphone contact so that I could contact him directly if I had any more questions!! I really appreciate his passion for the product and willingness to stand behind it. I can’t recommend this product enough - especially if you have a short term rental, or if you travel frequently. It really should be in every hotel! Thanks again for making such an incredible product!

Amazing product
Well I’m giving this bad boy five stars—first of all, I didn’t even know this existed. We ran into an issue and even though I checked first, saw no signs, we woke up to bedbugs on our vacation at an overnight stay. Needless to say I was completely panicked and just kept reading about high heat kills and what stages of life blah blah blah. So this thing was a game changer for me. You can throw all your clothes in it, your suitcases—whatever it may be that that you want to treat (pay attention to directions regarding electronics and other items that melt)—stick the thermometer in there and rest assured the items have been treated. It is made of quality material, heats up as stated and works well. I didn’t see any bed bugs, but that may be because I didn’t bring any home—but there was another poor beetle that didn’t have good luck in the Ranger. Wish it came with a carrying case!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND - EASY TO USE & EFFECTIVE!
Very easy to use & powerful in my goal to remove clothing moths & larvae. I was very relieved to find something easy to use, effective & kept its advertised promised. The clothes “oven” is sized large enough to handle a large load vertically without taking up a large geographical footprint on the floor. I found it really great to work with for my needs. I was initially greatly overwhelmed but this Thermastrike Ranger was very helpful in aiding me to dig myself out of a most challenging clothing moths circumstance. I highly recommend this unit.

I am impressed.
I live in a multi-unit high rise building in Ontario, Canada, and I bought the ThermalStrike Ranger in March 2021. In 2017 the person in the unit next to me brought home bed bugs. She told no-one and did nothing about them, and they spread out and infested everyone on the floor. In Ontario landlords are responsible for pest control, and my landlord did his best but without her co-operation, the bed bugs kept coming back. The provincial Public Health doesn't consider bed bugs to be a health hazard, so there was no help from there. I had bought a larger heating unit from another company. It killed bed bugs but it heated up the apartment to 97°F during the heat wave. Since I was baking things non-stop for two weeks, that was extremely stressful. Then I saw the ThermalStrike Ranger. The bed bugs had come in wave after wave from 2017 to 2021. I had run out of belongings and health. I was also stressed from the heat the other bed bug device caused. So I spent some of my remaining savings on the Ranger. I seem to have bad luck with appliances. I had been running the Ranger day and night when I noticed a problem. I emailed ThermalStrike and Mike wrote back. He explained what he thought was going on. We talked back and forth a bit and he demonstrated his superb customer service skills, and made it right. Then another facet of the system (not the heat box) went funky, and Mike made that right too. It's been plain sailing since. Since March I have used the Ranger nearly every day to kill off bed bugs (the bed bug loving neighbour finally moved out), then fleas, and now I'm heating my dry goods to combat weevils. The Ranger is extremely convenient to use, reaches the desired temperatures, and doesn't heat up the apartment. That takes a big load off my mind. I like that the thermometer uses a wired probe. There's no disconnection between the thermometer and the display as can happen with a wireless thermometer. There is a tiny gap in the zippered top to allow the wire through, but nothing has ever crawled out that gap. In the early days I was concerned about that so I filled the gap with Mortite caulk; it wasn't necessary. For hotter days when I have both the A/C and a fan going, I've found it helpful to place the Ranger in a large plastic bag to keep the breeze from the fan from cooling down the unit’s exterior. I don't recommend closing it at the top as water vapor will escape from whatever you're heating, and condense if it can't escape. The Ranger doesn't use too much electricity, unlike the behemoth I was using before (and occasionally still use for larger items), so it doesn't trip the breaker to have both the A/C and the Ranger going at the same time. What a relief! The only improvement I would suggest to Mike is regarding the Velcro straps that hold the pegs inside the corner sleeves. They're a tad too short. I tried stretching the sides of the Ranger to accommodate the length of the pegs, but it didn't work. The pegs are a little too long for the Velcro straps. I think an additional ½” of hook-strap would suffice. To be honest, after several months of using the Ranger, the sides seem to have softened up enough that now I can stretch them up enough to make the hooks catch properly, but for awhile that wasn't the case. All in all, having the Ranger has made my life in a multi-residential building, with other people's bugs, a lot less stressful. Mike gives the Ranger a two-year warranty; he has stood by his product and has provided some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. Thank-you, Mike.

*FIRE HAZARD* DO NOT BUY!!!
Update: We used this for several months and it worked as stated. But after the last use, I noticed some of the wires at the base are blackened and have begun to melt the plastic. THIS THING IS A FIRE HAZARD AND NO LONGER USABLE. I consider myself lucky that I noticed this before I started using it again. Previous review: We are treating our house for bed bugs, and this has been extremely helpful in treating things that can’t be sprayed or put in the dryer. It has, for the most part, worked without a problem. It inexplicably started cooling down one day though in the middle of using it. I did all the troubleshooting I could on my end and shot an email to their support in case I couldn’t resolve it. The issue was quickly resolved, but it’s now been a week, and I’m yet to hear anything back from their support team. I’m nervous about what may happen later on that I can’t resolve on my own. So I have deducted stars from the review since it seems once this company gets your money they are all too happy to ignore you.

Works but thermometer broken
Seems to work but the thermometer that came with it doesn't work. I reached out to the company for a replacement, no response. I used my own thermometer, seems to get hot enough!
