Easy to Use Framing Tool
Was able to record angles and was a great tool when making a wheelchair ramp. Wouldn't say it is the most accurate tool in terms of precision but for general framing it works great.

Not perfect - but close
I love this tool. It stores in places where my 12" speed square can't fit.I agree with other reviews. there is a likelihood that it will lose it's perfect square. That is always true with any tool that pivots. But I find correction is simple and I only worry about it when the measurement is critical.What I like best is the little rim that rides the board. A regular square doesn't have that and you have to align the top edge with the top of the board. By the time you draw your square line, it has shifted and you start all over.This tool hasn't completely replaced my speed square, but I haven't used my framing square since I bought this.

I needed a new square. Bought this one and I use it more than my speed square. Very happy with this purchase!!!

Excellent for Prototypes
Invariably measures for projects not listed, this tool supports inventions and machines in the process of being built. Every prototype begins inchoate and this ruler's best use for me is to provide new ways of producing them. Sure I could rely on more conventional rulers and I will at times, but it is in the exploration of things that makes this ruler great. Use it for your peculiar constructs, that's what it was designed for.

Accuracy isn't holding
Isn't really a square, after you open and close it a few times, you lose the 90 degree angle which this tool supposed to hold at all times. So if you need just about right, then it's a fine tool, but if you need precision, this is a subpar too.

Super tool...
Heavy, heavy weight aluminum. Very substantial, well marked, and easy to follow instructions to adjust for different uses of this framing wizard. Love that it's so compact (18" x 1 3/4") and will easily fit in with the rest of the tool stuff.

Jury is still out on this one
Received this product & decided to test/check against some known good angles. It faired well against some but was off on others. This tool made me doubt my other known exact measurement tools. Checked table & miter saws for accuracy. All this after checking this tools 45 degree angle & the stop. Going to have to check against a frame project in the near future to verify for sure!
