Great Cable at a Great Price
I have been using these instrument cables for years on stage and in the home, primarily for guitar-to-amp applications. The following summarizes the experiences I've had: Other reviewers mentioned it, but the first thing you will notice when you recieve this cable is the quality and care that GLS puts into it. From the thick fabric jacket, to the cord wraps that come with it, it presents itself as top quality. It also looks great! The next thing you will notice as you unrap your new cord for the first time is that (in my experience) it DOES NOT TANGLE. A 20' stage cord, that does not tangle? Talk about saving time during set up, and it is one less thing to worry about! Next, you will plug this cable in, and instantly notice a new sound out of your amplifier. SILENCE. In the years that I've used these cables I have not had any issues with buzzing. That is something that I cannot say for cables I've used in the past, and I am extremely grateful for it; especially when I'm performing or recording! As for sound, Paul Reed Smith believes that the best instruments are non-subtractive, as in they project almost all of the feeling and energy that is put into them. It is important to note that when you are performing, your cable is the only line of communication between your instrument and your amplifier. You need the cable to be non-subtractive too, to deliver the clearest, truest sound to your audience. This cable does just that. The last thing to note about these cables is the durability. After five years of regular use, I still have the first one I purchased, and it still works great. If it ever does break, I can come back and buy more for a fraction of the price of a comparable instrument cable. If you are looking for a great cable at a great price, congratulations: you found it!

Great Instrument Cable at a Great Price!
Let me start by saying that I am new to the guitar and this is my first instrument cable. I checked the local guitar store and on line and read many cable reviews thinking that I needed to purchase an expensive cable to get the sound/build quality that I wanted. I learned about GLS Audio Cables while searching on Amazon and was initially attracted to the brand because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews of all of their cables. At $12.99 for the 15’ - 1/4 Inch TS to 1/4 Inch TS Brown Yellow Tweed Cloth Jacket cable I figured what did I have to loose, and when it arrived I was certainly not disappointed. The first thing you notice when you receive the cable is the quality and care that went into its construction. From the fabric jacket, to the cord wraps that come with it, it presents itself as top quality and it looks great with my Yamaha FGX800C! When you unwrap the cord for the first time you will find that it does not want to tangle and when you roll it back up the cord wraps are really handy. I feel that the sound quality/clarity is very good, with no unwanted interference or distortion from the cable. I think that’s because the quality of the cable itself as well as the jack ends is much higher than expected for a cable in this price range. Finally, I was very impressed that GLS reached out to me to ask about my purchase. I think it’s great when a company cares that much about its customers and I feel that it also reflects on the quality of their products. I highly recommend this cable!

This Cable Had The Highest Customer Rating I Could Find
I don't know if its the best in the world, but it's pretty nice. The workmanship is outstanding. The connectors are top-notch: shiny, smooth, solid, and flawlessly manufactured. It transmits less hum than all my other cables. The thing that really surprised me, pleasantly, was the cable itself. I expected it to be stiff and a little rough, like my Fender braided cable, but it isn't. It's super flexible, and the fabric is soft to the touch. Pleasant, even. It doesn't snag on things, and the suppleness makes it more pleasurable to play because you can move around more, the cable just follows the player around better, and you can play in smaller places, like say, a jazz bar in some dingy, seedy part of town where the stage is the size of a trash-can lid. With it's retro-looks, those same seedy-jazz-bar patrons probably won't think to steal your cord either. Not that it looks cheap, it looks good, but it gaudy either. My one niggle on this one are the cable ties. It came with two, same as pictured, but they aren't attached to the cable itself in any way, they just wrap around it, inviting being lost from slipping off the end if you leave them wrapped around it when the cable isn't being wrapped up for storage or transport.

Sturdy and Great sounding
2 and a half years later, and these GLS cables (I got 2) are still kicking. No issues whatsoever. Despite repeatedly being stepped on, tripped over, tangled up, spilled on, and otherwise abused they still work as well as first day. Tremendous value and quality, highly recommended!

Good value for a good cable.
These are very well made and affordable cords. Each came with two hook-and-loop cable tie/organizers, which was a nice bonus. The claim in the ad copy is that these cords are made to keep capacitance to a minimum: 38 Picofarads per foot. One pF = one trillionth (10^−12) of a farad. I have no way of measuring this accurately. The idea is that capacitance creates filtering (which manifests as high-end roll off), so low capacitance cables are more "transparent" and brighter. As an audio engineer, I know that the difference will not be audible until your cable runs exceed about 20 to 25 feet. This cable is six feet long, so the 38 pF per foot claim would only add to less than 230 pF total. For most players, this is not a critical measurement! If I get a long cable for stage use, I'll write a separate review. Nevertheless, this is a solid guitar cable and the cloth cover feels good. It is strong, yet pliable. No buzz. Metal connectors means they won't crack when I step on them (and I WILL step on them), and the strain relief should make it quite durable. As long as it holds up over time, I'm sold.
