Great Combo table and versatile
I looked at different types water tables and sand tables and combos and finally decided on this one. Price was unbeatable (purchased during prime day and got a great deal). I based my finally decision on the following factors: 1) Feedback: based on the feedback this seemed to be the best product out there regarding hour long entertainment, durability, quality, and price 2) Quality: It comes with a cover lid that is fastened via cords on each side allowing it to stay put during storms and it is such a tight fit that it may not let any critters in to access the water or sand 3) It is a combo: meaning it allows for versatility. You can either fill both sides with sand or water, sand and water, or rice (as per feedback when moving it indoors to keep the mess at bay and allow indoor fun during the winter months) 4) It has two drain plugs (one each side) to allow the water and/or sand to drain easily 5) Easy clean up 6) Light enough to move 7) It came with the umbrella for the times the deck has no shade. This is great to allow a little protection from the sun 8) Value and price. If you would get a water table and sandbox separate from each other you would ultimately pay more unless you are lucky and get it used or hand me down or have time to build your own sand box. Only down side I found so far: My 17 months old son has discovered how fun it is to transfer the sand from his sand side to the water side to make mud (Thank you hubby lol). Either way it can get messy and a bit more cumbersome to clean the water side after his fun. Suggestion: drain the water and let the sun dry out the side and grab the vacuum. Simple and quickest method. Recommendation I like to pass one from a feedback I read on another sand table product: Add a bit of cinnamon to your play sand to deter critters (in case they find a way in with the cover). It works.

Great sensory table!
I looked at a few different sensory tables and the reviews, inevitably this table is the one I went with. I plan to bring this inside during the cold months as a sensory table. This table is the perfect height and very sturdy (my child is destructive) it’s also absolutely adorable and I love that it has a lid with bungee cords! The umbrella is perfect for if we want to talk it out in the yard and comes with a little bracket to put underneath the table incase of a storm. I love that it comes with the little accessories for him to play with and both sides of the table have little drains to easy clean anything you put in the table.

Perfect for small kids
My grandson loves it.. he plays for hours with, works great with sand or water, or both, but clean up is a bit of a mess when having both sand and water at the same time.

Son loves this table
My son lives this activity table. Half filled with play sand and other with water. Hours of fun. Easy to put together. Takes some strength to screw on by hand or use a drill for easier assembly. Sturdy and good quality

Awesome water table with nice functional features
This water table is the best you can get for the money. It has drains in both sides, the lid to keep dirt and leaves, debris etc....decent toys that come with it (my kids enjoyed- ages 2 and 4....

Cute water/sand table....with two flaws
I'm usually a fan of Step2. They specialize in large and durable outdoor products for children. This water/sand table is no exception. It's solid and sturdy and goes together fairly quickly. I've seen reviews criticizing the lack of pilot holes for the legs. This seems to be standard practice from the company's manufacturing process as I've seen it in other Step2 toys that we own. So I was kind of expecting the same thing with this table when I ordered it. To be clear, there is a 'starter hole' to place the screws in the correct spot, but you will indeed need to drive the screws thru the bulk of plastic on your own. Yes, attempting this by hand with a screwdriver is a task. It's doable. But a power drill will make it go much easier and quicker. So, the two flaws...and I'm somewhat disappointed by this as it indicates a dip in quality from this brand. Flaw #1 - the surface around the two drain holes where the rubber plugs go should be flat. But they are not. They surface around the holes is bowed on my table. This results in the rubber grommet not resting flat against the surface increasing the likelihood of water leakage. This would also explain the many complaints of leakage in other reviews if the bow is present in all tables indicating the flaw exists during the manufacturing process. The flaw wasn't obvious to me until I turned the table over and noticed the nut also wasn't flush against the undersurface. Flaw #2 - the hole for the umbrella appears also to have been tooled incorrectly during the manufacturing process. There is a round white bracket that's inserted over the pole underneath the table to keep the umbrella from swaying. The instructions clearly show that the bracket is resting against the undersurface of the table for maximum stability. But (as shown in my photo) that is not possible. You have to tilt the pole to accommodate the bracket and it still doesn't rest against the undersurface as intended. This results in a somewhat tilted umbrella and less stability anyway since the bracket isn't performing the function it was designed for. Overall however, the table is functional and the grandkids enjoy it despite the crooked tilting umbrella.

Got this for indoors 💜
I have a 10 year old and a 2 year old now I talked about getting this my 10-year-old wasn't super excited about it but then when she saw it and I filled it up she loves it and played with it for a good hour the first day we got it and my 2-year-old when she got home and saw it was so excited. I love that it covers the whole thing I don't know why this isn't a thing for all water tables and sand tables there should be a complete cover so that when Mom say no you can't play with it right now that there's a top also when it goes outside you don't want animals getting into it and cats peeing in the sand and stuff so it's really important that it has a cover plus it's easier to keep the water cleaner. We like to do a lot of sensory Play we like to do slime orbeez playing shaving cream bubbly water we want to try kinetic sand oobleck we just do a lot of sensory stuff in the buckets were great but they made such a huge mess when I used the buckets plus it's hard to find a place to store all those buckets. this is absolutely perfect it doesn't really show it in the picture but there's a little bit of a slope around the sides with a tiny little bit of an edge and it makes a whole lot less of a mess! When I was using buckets on the floor and played with orbeez there was literally orbeez everywhere within minutes but my girls happily played with this with a mat underneath it for a while and of course they don't try and be careful either and there were some orbeez on the floor but nothing like before. I literally have no complaints about this water table I'm very happy with it I'm very glad that we got it and that I chose this one. also love that it has two slots right now we currently have one slot filled with orbeez in another slot filled with water. if I had to complain about something the only thing I would complain about is the little bridge that goes on it is made to be moved easily so that if kids didn't want to play with it they didn't have to but the problem is that when they do want to play with it it just falls off so easily that it's almost impossible to play with and that was frustrating my 2-year-old quite a bit so she just uses it as a slide now thanks to her big sissy who came up with the idea. And also I can't stand it when you go to put something together and find out there's no pre-drilled holes I'm one of those people that can't stand putting furniture together or any of thing of the sort and I just can't stand it when they do not pre-drill holes LOL like I bought this water table I did not buy a Dyi project 😩🤦😅 But still absolutely love it I have it in my kitchen with an absorbent mat underneath it. every couple of weeks I plan on putting a new sensory thing in there and I love that the cap is on and that the cover has it there so that the times that I'm cleaning and we're all done playing they can't get into it when I'm not looking LOL. It's not just placed on top it has little loops that tightly go around these two soft knobs that stick out of the sides so that it sticks on tight. Easy for an adult to take off but would be challenging for a little kid to take off. I can't even decide if I want to put this outside in the summertime or not because it's so great having it right there in the kitchen so that I can cook two laundry clean dishes will they have something to do without making a giant enormous mess! well depending on what's in it lol they might get a little messy themselves but at least it's not all over the floor and everywhere 😅😅 and ask for fun well obviously it's fun cuz even my 10-year-old didn't think it would be fun but yet she's loving it! Of course she has to sit on her knees or sit on a chair to play with it but she doesn't seem to mind it beats sitting completely on the floor to play in a bucket.

Great for the grandkids
We have 3 grandkids, an almost 3 year old boy and twins (boy and girl) that just turned one. I bought a Step 2 outdoor house last year and was looking for something else for them to play with when they visit. The Step 2 water/sand table is rectangular and there is plenty of room for the 3 of them to find space. It has two separate spaces for the sand or water and it has a "road" around it with hills and a couple of bridges connecting a little island. It was a little chilly for water one day, so the 3 yr old had a great time with it and his cars. The Wee Ones are on the small side, so they are just able to splash in the water and scoop it up, so the height is good for them and fine for the older brother. The lid fits nicely and has a sort of bungee cord that holds it on tightly that is easy to secure. The only assembly was putting the legs in the holes and firmly pressing down. We have not used sand yet, so no comment on that. It came with a couple of little boats, a cup, and an oddly shaped shovel, as well, but I put in more cups and little pitchers, too. It is a hit with my grandkids and I am happy with the quality and durability of the table.
