Initial order "lost"...Rotometals made it right!!!
My initial order of Linotype was "lost" by the USPS. Without hesitation, Rotometals stepped up to the plate and reshipped a replacement order for the one that was lost through NO fault of their own.Because of Rotometal's willingness to "eat" the cost of fixing this mistake (again by the USPS), I am now a Rotometal customer for life. They could've easily said..."We didn't lose it...it's not our problem"...but they didn't. They made it right.Rotometals...we will be doing business again because of your outstanding customer service. Thanks again...Jerry

The right hardness
I tested this lead when it arrived. It was the correct hardness, and worked well for mixing with softer lead.

Good purchase
I have purchased ingots from this seller in the past and have had no problems at all. I am not sure if they have changed the picture in the last few months but what we got is what is pictured. You are buying an ingot of metal. It is a 5 pound block of metal. What you see is what you get. The seller has been very prompt about shipping. The shipping price has been very good. The weights of the ingots we have received have been a few ounces over the 5# advertized weight. Bottom line if you need a 5# ingot of alloy then buy it from RotoMetals.

Excellent alloy at a fair price
I purchased this linotype metal to add to range lead to harden it for casting bullets. The addition of about 1 lb. of linotype to 5 lbs. of range lead appears to provide a hardness similar to #2 alloy (without actually using a hardness tester), The #2 alloy is my preferred bullet-casting metal and range lead with linotype added is my second choice. Since range lead is free the cost drops appreciably while qyality remains high after adding the linotype. This shipment of linotype arrived quickly and was well packaged.

A Little under the weight of what is stated in ...
A Little under the weight of what is stated in the description. But it is the proper hardness for mixing alloys.

Will buy from them again!
Great shipping time and a little heavier than 5lbs. I got a hardball I got from a different vendor that was short on weight by nearly 1/4lb but this was slightly over. I add a little to my hardball and get perfect casts.

Not near 22 BHN…
Using a Lee hardness tester, the lead came in at about 16 on the Brinell hardness scale, not ~22 as advertised. I did consider that my budget Lee hardness tester was a bit off, but testing it on wheel weights, it was in the ball park for what they are supposed to be ~10. Aside from that disappointment, the lead was very clean with with little to no dross.
