Roundup Super Concentrate Weed & Grass Killer, 1 gal.

Incredibly impressed by this variation of Roundup! We have some incredibly invasive plants in our back yard. Their stem grows into long hollow tubes, similar to bamboo, so even after killing they are difficult to deal with as a lot of debris is left behind. They truly grow like weeds and in just a few weeks they grow from nothing to 6+ feet tall. I have tried a large number of weed control products, and they never truly solve the problem, as within a few weeks this weed is growing again. This Roundup is like nothing I have tried before. The initial result was very subtle. I applied the appropriate amount as per the instructions, but did not see any significant change for several weeks. What I did see, almost immediately, is that the weeds stopped growing completely. They didn't yellow, brown, or die off, but they did stop growing. That alone is a huge plus. A few weeks later, they finally started to brown, and now they have died off and have not returned. This Roundup truly ended the seeding cycle by completely cutting off the growth of the weed. I expect it to return next year, but at least this summer I didn't have to deal with them once after initial application! Usually I'm out there every 3-4 weeks hacking them down, so it was a welcome change! As an added bonus, it's my understanding that Glyphosate (the primary ingredient) is relatively safe, as it interferes with enzymes in the plant which do not exist in mammals, there is little risk to mammals from consumption. The raw product is dangerous, but once absorbed into the plant it no longer poses a significant risk to mammals, so I don't have to worry about the neighborhood cats eating the vegetation in my yard. I would highly recommend this Roundup to anyone. It completely kills plants, ending the seed cycle after a few generations, and is relatively safe to humans and pets.

Well what can you say about weed and grass killer. right?? Well this stuff is better than some other brands I have tried. My home sits on about 2 acres in North FLorida and weeds and devils grass grows like crazy. Well My wife has several nice gardens and we weed as much as we can, but sometimes the weather makes the weeds grow faster than I can get to pulling it. So I got this to spray some areas that were getting out of control and to big to do by hand. Also along my fences. First follow the directions and mix it like they say, you do not want to mix it stronger than they say, it does not make it work any better then if mixed right. Also this does not work overnight like some of the older stuff did. This takes 4 or 5 days to kill the weeds and devils grass. I use a pump sprayer and you can spray this around flowers and good plants, as long as you do not let wind or overspray get on the good plants. It dries and is safe from rain after about 30 minutes. At first I did not think it was working, but after days the plants I had sprayed started to die. By 1 week they were dead. Works great. I bought the high concentrate type because I will use it a lot over the rainy season and to keep weeds and grass down along my fences and in the gardens. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to get rid of stubborn weeds and grass. It helps to keep the gardens weed free and looking nice..

Our property had been sorely neglected when we purchased it. The neighbors on either side of us take horrendous care of their own lawns (is it really a lawn if it's almost entirely unwanted weeds?). We have quite a collection: dandelion, crabgrass, clover, oxalis, plantain, creeping charlie, thistle -- and these are just the ones I can name off the top of my head! We do, however, have some very lush sections of the lawn between the weed infestations, so we are not quite ready to just kill the whole thing off and start over. This has killed EVERYTHING we sprayed it on. The crabgrass has been the most resistant, taking up to a few days to completely die, but the fact is it *does* die. We have then been clearing out the dead patches afterward, amending the soil (if you're familiar with the weeds I listed, you'll know some are also indicators of other issues such as poor drainage), and laying down new seed. The seed has taken off in all previously-sprayed areas without issue. It's a lot of work, and some innocent grass gets caught in the process, but the results have been nothing short of amazing. We still have to spot-pull and are still working on thickening up the lawn, but the large areas of atrocious weeds are gone. This has done everything we needed it to do, and the only product we will consider going forward, period. Last year we used various weed killers trying to get a grasp on them (designed not to harm nearby lawn), and they didn't do a thing. This year we have renewed hope.
