The Best Watch I've Ever Owned
First, I'm a female and have always been somewhat of a tomboy. I've always been more into men's accessories when it comes to my style, as well as men's clothes. The face of men's watches is always bigger than women's, and I prefer that. Anyways, this watch is simply beautiful. I was a little concerned that it might be a little too big looking on my wrist because my wrist is thin, but it is the perfect fit. I bought the 45mm black, silicone band Fossil watch with the blue interior. One thing that annoys me about getting watches with a linked chain is I know it's not going to initially fit when I get it, so then I'm burdened with the task of going somewhere to get the right number of links taken out of the watch, so it fits me. So, I went with the silicone band to avoid that, and I am glad I did so. The face of the watch has a natural shine to it because the quality is so good. It just has such a clean look to it, and it's a look that will make people turn their heads when they see it to get a better look. This is exactly what I wanted! The watch is great in every way, and I don't know how any human being could be disappointed when they open up the cute little tin box for the first time and see it. If you like the look of the watch, then do not hesitate to buy it. You will love it. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

Honest Review - AMAZING WATCH!
- Background -I'm a 17 year old male who recently had a desire to get a watch. First place I checked was my grandpa because I had no idea which brands to look at. My grandpa owned several brands but his best watch was a Fossil.- Research -I spent a couple hours across the span of a few days researching many analog watches. I mostly looked at $20-60 watches, and all of them had terrible reviews. I found some trends with these cheap watches, they all had false advertising for water ratings and their bands were either faux leather or had weak pins in their links. Most of them didn't last their owner longer than half a year.> So I thought, why spend $40 on a watch that lasts maybe a year-- at best--when I can spend twice the amount for a watch that lasts way longer and looks a ton better too.- Metal Band -The metal band is really nice in person. Everyone says the watch in total [with band] is kind of heavy, but I have say [and I have a small wrist], it was NOT heavy at all. Keep in mind, this is my VERY first watch so maybe the other reviewers were comparing to their smaller lighter watches.- Watch Face -Most people here are disappointed that the blue accents on the smaller dials in the watch face aren't pronounced enough, but I haven't seen that as a problem. If you get a decent light ray on the watch you'll see the nice blue accents at the exact color that is shown in the product pictures. The side buttons and crown aren't big and annoying: something I thought might have been a problem. I assure you this watch is amazing.- Sizing -Some people here are disappointed about "having to get a new band" because the links are too big to make an actual adjustment. I don't understand where they're coming from because when I went to my local jeweler, she was able to take the right amount of links off and adjust the closest link to the clasp [there are 3 adjustable pin spots for the link closest to the clasp on each side] which proved to help fine tuning the adjustment [I had taken 3 links out because my wrist was a bit small]. The jeweler instilled in me that the watch may have to fall loosely over my wrist [where the carpal (or the big round bone thingy) is]. This was not the case, I was easily able to adjust the band to the perfect size even for my smaller wrist.- Conclusion -All in all, this watch is f'ing amazing. Since you've clicked on this watch, that means you've shown a little interest in it. Which means you are hesitant to buying it but would still consider it. STOP CONSIDERING AND ORDER IT ALREADY!Fossil watches are amazing and I'm glad I got this one for my first watch ever![ Might update in a couple months to a year to let you know how well it holds up. ][ Also will try to upload some good looking pictures and not from a 5 megapixel flip recorder lol. ]Definitely 5/5.

Exceptional watch!
I guess I would call this a Goldilocks watch, everything about it is "just right". All fossil watches come packaged in a round or, like this watch, square "tin" container filled with a firm dense foam with the watch nestled in a cutout In the foam made to fit the watch. This container was placed in a larger shipping box surrounded by air-pillow padding, so you can rest assured the watch will arrive without damage. When you pop the top off the container there is a small booklet containing instructions for registering the watch w/Fossil and it tells you where to go on Fossil's website for instructions on setting the watch functions, date, time, chronograph use, etc. The website instructions are very good. When you extract the watch from it's "cozy bed" it has the original pricing tag attached to the buckle and a clear thin membrane covering the watch crystal. The weight of the watch is "just right". It's substantial enough to feel the watch is an excellent quality build yet it's not too heavy. I have worn it everyday since receiving it and, of the many watches I own, it is now the most comfortable watch I own. The 'patterned' silicone strap definitely adds to the watches overall appearance and the silicone used is extremely flexible and actually has a 'softness' to it. I'm always concerned about silicone straps causing my wrist to perspire, and most will, but that has absolutely not been an issue so far with this one.The size of the watch is "just right". The trend today seems to be toward large watches and, with the case on this measuring 45mm, it is large but even on my thin 7" wrist it doesn't appear overwelming. I have a number of watches 44mm to 50mm and they 'feel' large, this one doesn't. I think the relatively slim, 12mm thick, case is what really makes this watch not 'feel' large and also a big reason it's so comfortable.Setting this watch is similar to many, that is you pull the stem out 1 position and rotate it till the day prior to the current date appears then pull the stem out to the second position and rotate the hands until the date 'clicks' over to the current date (so you know when the hands hit 12 o'clock your starting at midnight) and continue rotating the hands to the correct time, making sure to go past 12 o'clock again before setting a pm time so the date will always change properly at midnight. Again, compared to other watches I own, this watch is the easiest to manually set. The stem's knob is easy to grasp, the distance you pull and the affirming detent when you 'hit' position 1 is reassuring as it is with movement to position 2. Many watches require pulling the stem out and turning it to see if your in the right position and, if not, pulling or pushing it a little further and rotating until you see the action you want. The chronograph function is easy to initiate and use and the shiny blue hands on the subdial's are easy to read. The large start/stop and reset buttons are slightly concave, which I think adds to the watches' style, and provides positive tactile feedback when pressed. When the reset button is pressed the hand of the 'seconds' dial rotates counter clockwise one rotation for every minute that was measured until it's returned to it's starting position. I think this is unusual and, depending on the length of time you measured, can take a while.I guess the styling of this watch is what caught my attention initially, as is usually the case. The machine look with the knurled bezel, the large concave buttons, the layout of the face along with the blue subdial hands and the overall black coloring all caught my attention, and catches the attention of most people who see it. I guarantee you will get compliments from many strangers who feel compelled to comment on it. All of my fossil watches have proven durable, knock on wood, and I've yet to have a single quality issue with any of the three I own. Unfortunately I haven't had as good of luck with the one Relic brand I own which is made by fossil and is a less expensive line. But I recommend fossil highly, and especially this watch.

Great watch but Battery dead when we received it
solid watch, nice weight and looks amazing. Only issue we had was the battery was dead when it arrived. I had to replace the battery the day we received it due to it was for my sons birthday that night. Other than that I would buy again.
