Initially upon opening the package, the smell was almost overpowering. It’s a strong camphor smell, not sweet at all. It dissipates quickly, but still isn’t the sweet smell I had hoped for. However, after sitting in the drawer, the camphor overtones calm down and the sweet smell emerges. At this point (a couple of weeks after lining my drawers), it has calmed down to a sweet, slightly spicy, smell. It’s immediately detectable on opening the drawers, but not when the drawer is shut. As I write this, I can smell it distinctly on my t-shirt. I smell it on my sheets when I first get in bed, but not after that. I kind of like it. It is sweet, but not overpowering or cloying like a fabric softener smell. I have never smelled actual lavender flowers, but I understand the camphor overtones are characteristic of French lavender, so perhaps this is a genuine lavender smell. Whatever, I have grown to like it. Perhaps the camphor overtones were the reason people first started using lavender in drawers?The actual paper sheets are on the small size, but heavy enough to lie flat in the drawer without adhesive. They are a pleasant pale lavender-grey color. I can’t see why you would want adhesive on them. The adhesive would make a mess if you wanted to change the paper and would stick to the wood and mess it up so you couldn’t paint it or lay anything else in the drawer.It’s a nice product, but don’t expect it to smell like lavender soap or fabric softener.Update: I just bought a cheaper brand that comes in bigger sheets. The cheaper sheets smell like soap. It made me realize how much nicer the spicy-sweet smell of these lavender sheets was and I upgraded my review to 5 stars.

Very nice thick paper, they instantly give a fresh update to dresser drawers and they have a great scent.

Nice quality paper, nice print, good scent. I just wish sheets were a bit longer they did not cover the bottom of a standard dresser drawer.

These drawer lines are beautiful and high quality. They add a luxurious look and feel to our dressers. Also, the scent is lovely and not too strong. Worth the price. I will be purchasing more of them!

The Merriton drawer liners, which come in a roll of individual sheets, are so pretty and perfectly scented (and I'm wary of scents). Such a nice detail at the bottom of a drawer! The sheets flattened out nicely with a little weight on them, and they don't shift around. Love them!

The scent was overpowering...we ended up removing the liners after a few weeks.

I refurbished an old dresser that was left out in a curb. Leaving it outside, cleaning and repainting it didn’t get rid of the musty smell. I love these liners! They smell good and they are pretty. Love my new dresser.

The scent gave me a headache. I let it air outside before using. I was hoping for a more natural scent. It reminds of the perfumed candles in Walmart.I have purchased liners before from Home Goods and it was very pleasant.I wouldn’t advise purchase.I didn’t return it since I unrolled and put a couple sheets outside to air it. Also paper was rather thick.
