A Must-Have Tool for DIY Plumbing Projects
The Ridgid Close Quarters Pipe Cutter was an absolute lifesaver when I installed a hot water recirculating pump. I’m not a professional plumber, but this tool made me feel like one. It’s compact, easy to handle, and perfect for working in tight spaces where a regular pipe cutter just won’t fit.The cutting process was smooth and precise. It tackled copper pipes with ease, leaving clean, burr-free cuts that were ready for my sharkbite fittings. I was impressed by how little effort it took to get a professional-quality result, especially with how quick and accurate it was! The solid construction of the tool feels durable, and it didn’t slip or wobble, even during multiple cuts. What really stood out was the convenience. The small design allowed me to maneuver in cramped areas without struggling, which was essential for installing the pump in my water heater system. If you’re tackling any plumbing project—whether it’s big or small—this tool is worth every penny.Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just a weekend DIYer like me, the Ridgid Close Quarters Pipe Cutter is a game-changer. It saved me time, effort, and a lot of frustration. Highly recommended!

Excellent tight space tubing cutter.
Excellent tight space tubing cutter. I’ve own 6 or more of these over the years and they’ve held up well to everyday use.Solid construction, the cheaper ones have too much play in the blade-to-body alignment allowing for inaccurate tracking of the blade on the pipe surface. The Ridgid cutter makes cleaner cuts with less surface deformities. The blade maintains its cutting edge longer than the other cutters I’ve used, as long as they are used on the sorts of metal they were made for. I’m an industrial machine tech with 30+ years in the field and have used many different “Ridgid” tools and have found while costing more their attention to quality offsets the price with increased longevity of use.

Good for adjusting the length of golf shafts.
Cheap and worked great for trimming the ends of some golf shafts. After about a dozen shafts it quit cutting, but I think this is because I didn't use cutting oil.

Excellent RIDGID 32985 Model 104 Close Quarters Tubing Cutter, 3/16-inch to 15/16-inch Tube Cutter. I use it to cut 1/2 copper tube to install compress valve instead the solder 3/4

I would easily recommend this tool.
I have been very happy with this tubing cutter.I cuts consistent and clean.I would easily recommend this tool.It is just me, but I do wish it had groove so you could cut close to a flare when needed, but it cuts cleaner than any small cutter I have ever used.
