I recently bought a book that runs around 1,500 pages and weighs close to 10 lbs. As soon as I saw it I realized that I wasn't going to want to try to hold it in my hands for the length of time it would take to read it. So the purchase of a book stand was required.The pictures of this stand doesn't really show you anything about it's construction but for the price I was hoping for something a bit sturdier. As you can see from my pictures, it's an empty frame aside from a single slat running horizontally across the middle. The stand part is a small piece of wood that swings down into notches in a slat running vertically across middle of the bottom frame. The ledge that the bottom edge of the book rests on is fixed in place so the stand won't fold completely flat. That's not an issue for me but if it's something you're interested in, you may want to take that into consideration. The stand is functional but I have concerns about how well it will hold up over time.The cell phone holder is much sturdier which I find kind of ironic given how much my cell phone weighs compared to the weight of books I'm likely to need a stand for. If you need a cell phone holder it will get the job done.

I’ve been looking for a stand for quite some time and so glad to have found this one.It’s just what I was looking for. Sturdy enough to hold a large study Bible and a 1500 page cookbook. The cell phone holder is a nice bonus. Takes little space to store as well.

Great product.

This comes undone very easily which is good and bad. If I set it on a non-moving flat surface it's great, but if it's in my lap and a move a little, it collapses, and I have restless legs, so this doesn't work for me.
