Is there anything at the base of the wire holder to prevent scratches on my table?

If you have a hot glue gun, you could melt some dabs of glue on the metal parts that touch the surface to prevent scratching.

i tried cleaning the coasters with soap water as well, but the tea stains still wont go away. how am i supposed to get rid of the stain?

Used absorbent coasters for years, any liquid will be ‘absorbed’. If you cracked it open, the tea stains would be throughout it - a part of the stone. To keep mine looking new, I only use for condensating drinks. All other drinks, coffee, etc, I use other coasters.

How thick is the marble and cork?

The marble is one quarter inch thick and the cork less than a quarter inch. They are handsome, sturdy and most functionable.

My coasters are starting to stick to the glasses. Is there anything I can do to get them to absorb again?
