FlowGuard Gutter Covers: A DIY Dream Come True I cannot emphasize enough how impressed I am with the FlowGuard High Clearance Premium Gutter Cover System. This product has completely transformed my home's exterior and saved me a small fortune. Getting quotes from contractors for gutter guards was a shocking experience. I was quoted over $3,000 for a job that, as it turned out, was incredibly easy to do myself. The FlowGuard system is designed with the homeowner in mind. The pieces are manageable, and the installation process is straightforward. Even with no prior experience, my husband was able to complete the entire project in just a few hours. The quality of the product is exceptional. The aluminum is thick and sturdy, and the black finish is a perfect match to our gutters. I was worried about potential color variations, but I couldn't be happier with the result. The high clearance design is a brilliant feature, ensuring that water flows freely while keeping out debris. I've already noticed a significant difference in how my gutters handle rainfall. No more clogged gutters or overflowing downspouts! The peace of mind knowing my gutters are protected is priceless. If you're considering gutter guards, I wholeheartedly recommend the FlowGuard system. It's a high-quality, cost-effective, and DIY-friendly solution that will save you time, money, and frustration.

Good Price Good Quality Easy Install
Husband is a carpenter. We have put these up on a couple of properties. He likes the quality over the HOME DEPOT ones he looked at. He says they were easy to install and can't beat the price for the quality. Haven't seen how they will handle the spring tree droppings yet, but has been great for this Fall's leaf droppings.

Buy these, install on your own, and laugh at those TV commercials offering to install them for you
These are absolutely beautiful gutter guards and are very beautifully built. Two packages of these (say $275 total) were enough for my L-shaped Southern ranch style home. I laugh at those expensive commercials advertising professional installation which probably cost most people thousands of dollars - this is a no-brainer to do yourself if you have a ranch style home (I probably wouldn't attempt on a multistory home). This item comes with the sheet metal screws and all you need is a good ladder, an electric drill to drive in the screws, as well as extra long screws to reattach fascia boards if they need to be tightened up prior to added the gutter guards. You or your handyman could easily install these and save yourself lots of money.

Great Product Ideal for Lower Sloped Roofs
This product is easy to install and does a great job of keeping out leaves and small maple seeds. The provided hardware could be improved with color matching screws for colored gutter guard. The provided screws are very short and don't hold well on the back side but work well for the attachment into gutter edge. I recommend purchasing longer pole barn or other screws that will provide adequate hold in the soffit for the back side attachment. This product saved me from the weekly gutter cleaning required at my first home and worked very well. I installed some of this gutter guard at my new second home which has a much larger roof pitch. I don't recommend this product at corners (valleys) with large roof slopes or gutters that attract a lot of water, as the water can run over the top/edge of gutter and can result in water damage in the soffit/ceiling. I drilled additional holes in the gutter guard adjacent to the valley and cut a notch at the valley so that water can enter the gutter freely. I installed a much more open mesh-style gutter guard section at the valley gutter corners.

Zero issues on gutters with a metal roof.
I recently had a new metal roof installed and had old plastic guards with fiberglass screens on the underside from local home center. They were cheap and did a good job keeping stuff out of gutter but with rain I noticed water would pass over the screens over the side of the gutter rather go in so after mich research I decided these offered the best protection while not needing any real preventative maintenance like the all micro mesh screens that I read need to be cleaned because they clog up with mold and mildew. I first replaced all my gutter brackets with improved K style brackets and also re-pitched my gutters. Initially I laid these flat across the gutters and since have pitched the backs up so they are on a slight angle. I just wanted to give debris from trees to have less chance of laying on the top. When they were flat there was absolutely zero water coming over the top of the gutters. 100% improvement over the old plastic screens. After the change in pitch I admit I was slightly concerned that the water hitting the screens on a pitch would have water possibly hit and bounce off but this is NOT the case. There is absolutely zero water passing over the screens and this is coming off a 5/12. 6/12 pitch metal roof and the water races off the roof much faster then asphalt shingles. These are EASY to cut with good scissors. These basically interlock from one screen to the next and installation is simple. I would like to point out these ARE NOT. 48” in length but 45 1/2” of usable screen. 1/2” gets overlapped on each end so don’t figure how many 4’ guards you would need but count the actual footage and add 10% for waste of screens you might have to cut that maybe you won’t be able to use elsewhere. As far as winter goes I have zero concerns of ice because ice dams first don’t have anything to do with gutters. When your roof is warm from rising heat due to poor insulation that heat melts snow and the melting snow hits the cold eve of your roof overhang that isn’t warmed by inside air so that water freezes. Water will freeze before it gets to your gutters if you are Prone to ice dams. This is a insulation problem and having metal guards will not matter. You will get ice dams with no gutters if your roof is warm in winter and you have snow. For the price these are amazing. They fit my 5” gutters perfectly and although like any screen they might hold leaves until wind blows them off but will not effect water draining.
