I have been using this Petrodex Dental Care Kit for Cats for my cats for 2-3 years now. It is excellent. And she "allows" it. I used a couple of other brands before. She really liked one brand, but they stopped making it. Then I tried an Arm & Hammer brand one and she HATED it! So, I am thrilled she tolerates this one. This comes with detailed instructions, plus a slim toothbrush and a finger brush as well. My cat first started with just the toothpaste itself on my finger, when she was a kitten. She never liked a brush in her mouth. I could only do it a couple times a week at first, but eventually was able to increase that to once a day. Still with my finger only. But now, in addition to that, I have slowly incorporated the brush and finger bush also, though at separate times, and still not with the toothpaste on it. We'll get there. Right now, she just thinks the brush is a toy and she likes to chew on it... perfect! And the finger brush is a massage tool for her gums. This is good stuff and I hope they never stop making it. I cannot find it in the stores, so have to buy it online... either here or eBay! I prefer to get it here at Amazon though.

My cat loves it and it completely gets rid of his fishy breath. The taste doesn't bother him but it's not a total treat for him. He doesn't mind it tho. The finger brush was hard to use but I prefer the tiny toothbrush anyway.

I came up with three categories that the paste had to perform in in order to meet my expectations.The first is cleanliness. The toothpaste did quite well in this aspect, as all plaque and tartar buildup on my cat’s teeth disappeared. This is arguably the most important feature of the toothpaste, considering it was made specifically for a cat’s dental health. My cat is showing no signs of dental discomfort, even when using the toothbrush, and his teeth look healthier than ever.Next is the ability to freshen my cat’s breath. Before using this toothpaste, my cat’s breath was rancid. It was to the point that if he were cleaning himself, he couldn’t be anywhere near me, as I couldn’t stand his death breath. The toothpaste has a malt scent, which isn’t as fresh as I’d hoped, but overall it did make his breath fresher, ultimately alleviating his bad breath. Now he can bathe himself wherever he pleases, without causing an awful stench.Lastly was my cat’s enjoyment of the product. Milo enjoyed the taste of the paste, as I let him lick it before hand in order to acclimate him to the experience. I’ve been able to brush his teeth a few times now, without a fuss. The toothbrush is soft-bristled and catered to his small mouth, so it doesn’t hurt his gums or teeth, which is extremely important to his comfort and health. While every cat is different, Milo enjoyed having his teeth brushed, and I didn’t even have to use the finger guard.VerdictOverall, the products included in this kit did their job as advertised. The toothbrush was ideal for brushing Milo’s teeth. The toothpaste cleaned his teeth, while freshening his breath, even if it wasn’t minty. The finger guard is a nice addition, even though I didn’t need to use it. The kit has everything you need for your cat’s hygiene, and is ideal for all cat owners out there. It took a couple times for my kitten to like this toothpaste. He is now 2 yrs old and loves it. This toothbrush is perfect for cats teeth.

Toothbrush was to large for a smaller dog. Paste was fine and the dog enjoyed the taste.

I have been sick the past weekSo I have only been able to brush my cats teeth every other dayOne night I heard munching under my bed… come to find the bag with holes all over it and the paste tube holes in it, he was suckling the toothpaste!!!!I’ll have to make sure it’s always! in a drawer because he is down bad

My cats love this paste. They nudge their toothbrush so they can have a "taste of paste."

Works good, although my cat would rather do anything other than get his teeth brushed.
