Schleich make great animals - they're sturdy, detailed, and attractive. I have bought quite a few now for my toddler (well - at least in theory; I'm enjoying playing with them a bit myself, I confess). I'm hoping he'll get many years of play out of them!

I really thought this thing looked ugly, but my kid loves lions. I am definitely much more pl asked with the real thing than the stock photos! While the facial expression is interesting, like maybe some less intense eyes would have been fine, but the quality is excellent overall!! In my photos it has already been drug through rocks and the like (thus the white specs here and then, she's a rowdy kid) and is an outdoor toy, but it is doing awesome thus far! Quite pleased with it!

I'm going to have to start getting my ruler out for my amazon purchases, I tell ya:)!This lion is very, very durable and perfect for what I need it for (Narnia cake topper)...the price may be steep for the size, as it's no bigger than a medium-size vitamin bottle, but I think it would be reasonable for the durability aspect of it if you wanted it to last through the generations.

These animals are amazing. I bought them thirty years ago for my kids, used them for 20 years in my classroom a d now my great nephews still use them. They are indestructible, and very realistic. Great for imaginative play for kids from age 3 on up.

Great item....going to use it for a dollhouse and it will be cut in half and used as the post of a bottom of a staircase.
