Nicely made product
This was a very nice bee house. However it was not a DIY kit.

Low quality and not suitable for outdoors at all
Fell off my tree in 2 days and rain wrapped the wood. I do not recommend.

Nice Size - Cheaply made
My current pollinator house was pretty full and its the kind that you can't remove the pieces to clean/replace so I decided to purchase another one that had that capability.I was pretty excited when this one came in the mail but upon opening, it was already broken. So the perimeter is in 2 pieces and held together by little wooden knobs and elastic string that goes around the knobs. One of the knobs was broken off, but it appears that it wasn't put together very well as it was just glued on. Not really sure in the point of having the perimeter in 2 halves as all of the internal rows (where the native bees make their nest) completely fall out if you tip it over. The 2 halves is just a moot point and useless.I placed this one next to the existing one and so far I've had a few check it out but none take up the offer on a new home. It may take a while and I may need to get the sleeves you insert into the holes. Only time will tell if it takes up occupants or not.Buyer beware.

It was great!
I ordered this for my grandson. It was great with one exception. There were no directions on how or where to get the bees from.

Unusable for Mason Bees
I was very excited to get this bee house because it's the same style as high-end bee habitats. This stacked style makes it very easy to collect and clean mason bee cocoons.I knew from past reviews that the frame would need reinforcing and the inside would need sanding, so I was prepared to put in that work. However, the shortest dimension, 4.5", is the depth of the entire thing, and the habitat itself is 3.5" which is two and a half inches too short for Mason bees who prefer a diameter of 5/16ths and a depth of 6". A tube of this depth will only yield female bees if a mason bee decided to settle here at all. I will have to return this, and possibly figure out how to make my own with my router or give in and buy a pricey one from a mason bee vendor.

Save your money! Do not waste your money on the bee habitat.
I had this item in my cart for a year, and when it went on sale, I jumped on it. I'm glad I got it on sale because I'm so disappointed in this mess. It was fine when I pulled it out of the box, but two sides fell off the day after I put it outside. I used wood glue to try to fix it, and the next morning, the other sides fell off. I'm not even bothering. I'll try composting the wood. You can make one at home from a can and paper if you have the initiative.

can't get wet!
fell apart when outside - the outer wood is like a laminate. One of the worst products I've ever bought on amazon.
