Great addition to Worldcat 255DC
Purchased for a Worldcat 255DC with 150 Yamahas. These are easy to install at the sandbar using the supplied hardware, a 7/16" wrench and Phillips screwdriver. I was able to baseline the boats performance prior to installation, but I have not re-evaluated post installation data yet. These were installed when the boat was at full fuel, and an excess of gear and people aboard. One thing I can say for sure though is that it has gotten the boats tendency to porpoise under control, which was the main reason I wanted to install them. They work. Up on plane at lower RPMs and definitely a smoother ride and less fiddling with the trim control. I've been checking the torque on the nuts and have re-tightened a couple times. I will drill through mount these soon since they are of noticeable benefit.

This product fixed my planing and proposing
I put this hydrofoil on a 1991 Ranger with a new four stroke Yamaha 150 which weighed 100 pounds more than my last motor. Which changed the ride of my boat. It would come out of the hole at about a 45° angle and plane out. Then it wanted to porpoise at lower RPM 2000 to 3000. After installing the hydrofoil came out of water about 20° quickly on plane and eliminated the porpoising issue. It looks good and it's easy to put on I use the no hole mounting system.

Does what it says, well pretty much
Fitted to Yamaha 225hp outboard on Hydrasports 23WA. Reason for purchase was the 23WA is known to need a little stabilizing help at lower planing speeds, not an issue if going fast, but the seas don't always allow that, the workaround to use the trim tabs. Even so the boat would fall off plane and not get back on without more throttle, then would need to be backed off to prevent it going too fast.... enter the hydrafoil .. I had used one years ago to fix a similar issue on another boat. Install was pretty easy, very easy, backed up to a sandbar, 20 minutes with a socket wrench and a screwdriver and the hydrafoil was installed - note the yammy needed to use the outermost holes. First "real" trial was out the never forgiving Merrimack river and to Jefferies ledge 35 miles out in 2-3ft waves. No need to use the trim tabs, motor trim was all, ride was stable at low planing speeds, if speed dropped below 18mph the boat stayed on plane and picked back up to 21-23mph without intervention. Was able to use the trim tabs as designed to fine trim the boat. Return trip at near low tide with cross currents and nasty swells, no problem, dropped to 14mph and stayed on plane, picked back up by itself so all I had to do was steer, nice! Back in calmer waters I was able to reduce the engine trim and the boat remained stable (no pounding) and picked up to 35mph at moderate throttle. Overall - boat more responsive and stable, less pounding, steering more responsive, able to run at lower (more comfortable) speed while on plane. May lose a bit of top end speed due to extra drag from hydrofoil but then the trim tabs are not down and the boat isn't pounding so maybe not.

Best hydrofoil on the market.
This is my 2nd SE 400 hydrofoil. It works great and keep your boat more stabilize. The best part - no drill required to install this hydrofoil.

Nice improvement but short bolts
Really like this product but the installation bolts are to short when installing on Volvo Penta SX drive. I drilled cavitation plate and installed with provided bolts and fiber lock nuts. The bolts are so short that it’s difficult to get bolt thru entire nut without stripping out. Another quarter inch would have worked. Great product and have used these before but always have problems with attaching hardware. Definitely puts my 24 ft boat on plane faster.

well worth the money
I have put this on every boat I've had. It really works great on pontoons to lessen cavitation. It works great on my deckboat to get it up on a plane. It will plane at 500 rpms less than before, and while it is getting up to speed, the bow doesn't rise up so much. Before, it would rise so far that i couldnt see in front of me until the boat planed out.

Just what the doctor ordered.
Very sturdy and works as promised. Easy to put on, a few modifications for the Evenrude 200, but not a big deal. Looks good too. Gets on plane in no time.

This hydrofoil is easy to install (no drilling required) and it has helped ...
I have a 25' center console fishing boat with twin 200hp counter rotating props and a steep V hull. This hydrofoil is easy to install (no drilling required) and it has helped in 3 areas. 1. Eliminated some cavitation on tight turns, 2.Shortened the time it takes to get on a plane and 3 Helped to keep the boat from favoring one side or the other while on a plane in flat water. Be sure to tighten the hardware after the first few rides in rough water as it will likely need to be tightened, I also added extra lock nuts to give it more strength.
