Great for freshly build motors
Lucas Oil’s SAE 30 break-in oil is excellent quality and does exactly what it’s meant to. It’s thick, high-zinc oil that provides outstanding protection during the first few hours of running a new or rebuilt engine. The formula helps parts seat properly without excessive wear and keeps everything lubricated even under high friction and heat. It pours smoothly and has a clean, professional-grade consistency. After using it, the engine ran quietly and strong with no metal shavings in the oil, showing it did its job perfectly. It’s one of the best options for small engines, go-karts, and performance builds. Five stars for protection, reliability, and proven results.

Lucas break in oil 30w
Lucas 30w high zinc in mho is an exceptional break in oil. I did enough research to make it my 1st choice not only because it is half the price of Amsoil which is also exceptional, but the only high zinc I could find in strait 30w. I also added a bottle of Howards cam ZDDP. I used it for the initial break in @ 2500 RPM for 30 minutes and then changed oil to Royal Purple engine break in oil 10w30 and also added Howards Cams ZDDP for the next 500 miles. With the lousy cams and terrible lifters made today it is essential. I won't take any chances again after wiping out a cam and lifters that came in a cheap online engine kit. So far, I'm very happy with the engine and will use this break in procedure from now on.

Great product, highly recommended
Not many companies make quality break in specific oil anymore, this is my go to. I have a specific break in procedure for small engines, run for 2 hours no load, change oil, run for 2 hours half load, change oil, run for 2 hours full load, change oil, then it's broken in as well as it can be (in my opinion). I use lucas break in oil for the whole process, then switch over to full synthetic from then on. I can't say how it's better exactly, but so far it works great for me. I've done this with two mowers, my pressure washer, two generators, motorcycles etc. for years and they all run as they should, no excessive blowby or oil consumption. Buy with confidence, great seller, great product, great price.

Good for brand new 212cc engine as well as all other gasoline engines
Used half a quart to run my Predator 212 non-hemi in. After first 1hr run, drain. Filled again. Will run a second cycle under 1/3 load. Drain. Then 1 cycle on standard oil. Then drain, and fill with synthetic. This is good oil to break in rings, and other bearing surfaces to the parts that are all mechanically connected. Using this high zinc break in oil will set your new motor up for success. Good break in oil.
