Clever toy with no bells and whistles!!
This puzzle has doors that open on hinges with pieces inside that correspond to the picture on the door. There’s a turkey inside an oven, a dog inside the dog house and so on. It’s great for developing vocabulary and learning cause and effect. We actually had to get a second puzzle because it was so frequently played with that some of the inside pieces went missing.

Very entertaining for my 14 month old granddaughter
My 14 month old granddaughter plays with this everyday! It’s one of the first things she chooses when she comes over. She enjoys opening all the doors and collecting the animal magnets. Since she still puts items in her mouth, I have hidden the smaller pieces. This wooden puzzle is heavy duty and the hinges appear to be well made.

Lots of animal fun!
My baby got this for his first birthday several months ago🎂and even though he was a little young for it at the time, he was still really excited to see so many animals he already knows! He loves finding the animals hiding behind the doors and making the sounds for them🐮As his fine motor skills continue to improve, he gets more confident pulling the animals out- those magnets are a great workout for little hands!🖐🔹THIS TOY IS GREAT FOR🔹- animal recognition (chicken, sheep, cat, goat, horse, cow, rabbit, pig, and sheep are the magnet pieces; fox, spider, bird, mouse, goose, butterfly, worm, dog, and caterpillar also make appearances on the board itself)- vocabulary (behind, above, under, beneath, open, close)- language skills (lots of opportunities to talk about where the animals are and what they’re doing)- fine motor skills (opening and closing the doors, pulling the magnetic animals out, putting the animals back in)🔹RECOMMENDED AGE🔹- 1 year and up- close supervision for small parts and magnets (manufacture age recommendation is actually higher because of the possible safety hazard small of the small magnets, but this toy can be enjoyed much earlier under close supervision! Just make sure to put away when not in use and always supervise your little one during play)For more toy and baby product reviews, check out my Instagram: @life.with.mama.bear

Great Gift
I bought this for my 7 month old that loves to open and close things. He absolutely loves it. It was so worth the money. It was very sturdy and held his attention for a long time.

Seems like a very well-made good toy
Seems like a very well-made good toy. The thing I like about magnets inside is that my 22-month old likes to throw everything out and then see where things fit, so stuff gets lost and his attention goes elsewhere. Now with this thing, he turned it upside down, but nothing fell out, so he had to take the time to open one door at a time and really pay attention. We even played it like a memory game. I asked him who is behind this door? And he would make a cow noise guessing it was a cow. Or I would ask where is the cat, and he would go looking behind the doors. The puzzles usually have pictures behind each piece identical to the puzzle piece, but what I like here is that there is just background picture, so you can actually switch some animals around. Encourages imagination. My boy tried to fit 2 together. Didnt allow for the door to shut, but it was a cute idea :)

Perfect for toddlers, but needs one minor redesign
This is an awesome toy, ideal for toddlers. My 16-month-old daughter sits for hours flipping the doors open and closed and playing with the animals. The "outside" of the board (with all the doors shut) has nice pictures of farm buildings. Behind each door is a different scene with a different animal. Each animal is lightly magnetized to help it stay in the board, but not so much that a toddler can't claw them out. The pictures are very pleasing and my toddler seems to be completely absorbed by the whole toy.The only complaint I have is that the little magnetized animals tend to get stuck under a lip between the front and back of the board. Any adult or older child can see what's catching the piece and maneuver until it comes out, but my 16-month-old sometimes gets frustrated because of this. I wonder if the company could find a way to redesign this one little part of the board -- it's kind of like a space between the front and back sections of the board, where the edges of the animal pieces can get lodged. Besides this, great toy! Highly recommended!

Challenging and satisfying for 8 month old
The media could not be loaded. Started my almost 8 month old on this puzzle when she mastered a wooden peg popping toy. She had difficulty and frustration the first few weeks but the challenge kept her engaged. She first mastered pulling the magnetic pieces out. They do tend to get stuck in the front frame so I have to help adjust them sometimes so she can pull them out (as you can see in my video). At 9 months, she completely mastered opening and closing the hinges. I am now challenging her to open the ones with specific animals, asking "Where's the pig?" and she usually picks the correct one. She also really enjoys when I make the animal sounds when she opens the doors. Totally recommend this for a baby or toddler who hasnt quite mastered the lock puzzles but has enough hand dexterity or interest therein to do more than just shake and inspect toys. The only downside is the paper print on the magnetic pieces is starting to wear on the edges, mostly because my baby is still mouthing so I try to keep it out of her mouth but they still get a little banged up. See pic. This will be a favorite for a few years Im sure as we discover new ways to play and engage with it.

Loved it so much we bought it twice!
We received this as a gift for our first born and recently repurchased it for our fourth child. The children love this game - peeking behind the doors and mismatching what goes where. Endless hours of fun and learning.
