Thankful for the in depth information
After the snow storms delayed the delivery of my book, I've now got it. I'm only on page 90, but I thought I'd give you my opinion so far. Bare in mind that I have never read any of Buhners other books but I have poured over his website.First off, if you really want to see how much you don't know about Lyme co infections, read this book. I never took Organic Chemistry or Microbiology in college but my daughter did. She said (after reading 2 random pages) that it was beyond her education level (or maybe interest). That being said, I gloss over many words that are not, nor ever will be in my vocabulary.I'm learning a lot about Lyme's co infections and why/how they invade our cells. Is that important to get well? Maybe. If you like to visualize the treatment you're using, fighting off these little critters, this book will give you a real personal look at the cellular level to help with that visualisation exercise. On page 89 Buhner mentions some of the herbs to help with Babesia. Problem is, the names are all the Latin ones and not the common ones. Now I have to stop and look them all up. I can see this book is going to take some time to get through.I'm sorry to say that there are very few LLMD's in TN and my GP says that there is no Lyme in our area (yes, I need a new dr.). I've been bit by at least 25 ticks in the past 12 years (I live in a heavily wooded area). I have been severely debilitated for the past 4 years and DX with Fibromyalgia. I say BS to that and 3 months ago started treating myself for Lyme and Babesia. This book is just one of the tools that I need to be my own doctor. I'm looking forward to learning all I can and getting my health and life back.UPDATE: I am now to the good stuff. I love the in depth details about the herbal plants. And yes, the common names are sited. This book will definitely be turned to many times.

A+ An Exceptional Contribution to Babesia Medicine-Bravo!
Professor Buhner has always had fine additions to offer in many areas, including tick-borne infections. He always adds to what is cutting edge and expands the options in these very common infections. I deeply appreciate his comments on the need to tailor dosing. I am not new to this disease and praise does not come cheap. I have six Babesia books, a cancer primed by Babesia we cured, and Lyme, Babesia and Bartonella sections in an NIH infection director endorsed textbook. I treat Babesia treatment failures from all over the world. So when I say Buhner always teaches me some new tricks, and is a major player on the world stage in tick infections, I mean it very soberly and with immense appreciation. THIS IS A TOP TEXTBOOK FOR THE CENTURY ON BABESIA.The work to write such a textbook is massive, and he has done a superior job. I may have different thoughts on some approaches, but frankly, who cares? Books like this are a gift to NATIONS, not just to those interested in herbal options. Increasingly, physicians not also literate in herbal pharmacology are limited and too narrow.Thank you again esteemed healer for offering up so many useful ideas. I learned over ten very useful things in my first fast read through, and I know I missed many other very useful pearls that come from your immensely talented mind. I work with most of these options, but you never stop learning, and when the writer and teacher is Stephen Buhner, you ALWAYS have the pen handy to do big underlines. My first of two copies is already VERY marked up.Thank you for your sweat, toil and great work! And by the way..... I think thousands of us would be just fine if you wanted to keep writing these useful books. :) Thank you Professor. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Buy this book! Do it Now!
The author knows what he's talking about. It challenges my mind to learn more and that's very good. A book written about a difficult subject, but he intuitively knows when to give an example and not leave me stranded (there's some dense text involving molecules, etc.) And although the book is so well written with authority, the author is light hearted and down to earth, which circulates oxygen in between words like "parasite" and "pathogen"I wish I had read "Healing Lyme a very long time ago. I am now very sick from my body trying to fight it on its own. My hope is that plants will heal me and I'll find a Lyme Literate Doctor. There's quotes in the book and I love that; some of the authors own words are quotable and resonate to the soul. I also bought The Secret Teachings of Plants" and hope to understand more. Thank you for writing and for healing. I have not received any bling for writing this review.

Need to know!! Get well from drug resistant bugs.
Stephen Buhner is the best resource to learn best natural treatments for Lyme Disease AND the multiple coinfections that are keeping people sick. The research and results are easy to understand. All his books are the best. I have all of them, his books on Herbal Antibiotics and Herbal Anti virals should be in every home!Just remember that there is no magic pill. You must do what you can to support your own immune system to get well. Don't think you can figure it all out yourself. If you start any protocol please be compliant and keep it up for at least 6 weeks. Before introducing new treatments, take a week off and let your body rest. Eat well, rest well. All those with lyme need extra Magnesim. Best way to get enough is by using Magnesium topically. Like mag oil. It will help you feel better, sleep better, and protect your heart.Everyone seems to have symptoms of mineral deficiencies, and those with Lyme and other multi systemic diseases need it more. Do the research. Be well. Blessings to all.
