Will Make Your Knife Like New
The sharpener is easy to use and does a great job at sharpening knives to a very sharp edge.

Great!!
Work great and I love that I can now do it at home when needed. Easy to use but make sure you use as supposed to (don’t ruin your expensive knives!).

Very effective, but with a learning curve
This is mainly used to sharpen a set of about 9 Wusthof knives. I am happy with the purchase, but as an engineer, I always notice things that could be better.Plus:Because it uses replaceable sanding belts it should perform like new in the future, as long as nothing breaks. It took quite a while for the initial sharpening, but I was able to get the blades quite sharp, certainly better than with the "pull through the V" style Wusthof sharpener I had before.Unlike the V-style sharpener you can use it on a serrated bread knife, on the flat side only. I wasn't expecting much, but it actually made our bread knife (several years old now) much nicer to use.In addition to the Wusthof knives I sharpened some older Chicago knives with good results. I even tried a cheap paring knife with a very hard blade. That blade may have damaged my first V-style sharpener, but with the sanding belt I knew that there could be no long-term harm to this sharpener.Minus:The rotating sanding belt lifts the knife when you sharpen the left side of the edge and sucks it down when you sharpen the right. I'm still learning how to hold the blades so they get just the right amount of pressure. There is no guide for this, it is something you have to learn by feel. You also have to learn how to hold the blade flat on the one-sided guide which determines the sharpening angle. There is nothing to prevent you from doing this wrong, but if you are careful it works fine.It took a long time to initially sharpen our knives, which makes me suspect that the angle is different than before. It even seems likely that the angles are asymmetrical, given the asymmetrical behavior of the sanding belt. Nevertheless, I'm happy with the end result and I expect that maintaining sharpness will be easy.

Dull Knife
Not anymore, using an old knife as a testing. After sharpening the knife. I want to tell you I had fun, and started sharping all the knives in the house. I even used this wonderful sharper on my Viking Knife set. Easy to use and taking the time to read the instructions (which is not my MO normally) helped a lot to get comfortable with the feel.

Bad design
Wanted to love this since I have many fine knives in two homes. But there’s a major flaw in the design. First, the sharpening bands cut easily if the knife isn’t held at the correct angle. More importantly, the band runs in one direction. So one one side sharpens up and the other side is sharpened down. So one side feels sharp, the other dull.

Drive O-ring broke
Bought July 2021. Used maybe 10 time this year. Now end of the July 2022. Has a very small o-ring type drive belt behind the where the wide sharpening belt goes. It broke. Got a hold of Work Sharp and they are sending me a new o-ring.The old o-ring was rubber and hard like it had been around for years. It broke again when I was looking at it out of the sharpener.I really like the sharpener otherwise.

Incredible sharpener of knives
The product is well engineered and designed. It efficiently sharpens and shapes knives for better use in the kitchen. It doesn't take up much space and can sit on the counter next to the knife collection. I plan on buying one for my brother for his birthday as he is a fabulous cook.

Nice knife sharpener!
Been looking for knife sharpener that actually works. This knife sharpener did a great job sharpening my knives! The only drawback that I have to say about it is that there's a little bit of a learning curve. Other than that, I am very pleased with it.
