Q: How thick is Kinesio tape?

It's not very thick at all. I wouldn't be able to measure it! Very flexible and comfortable when worn for several days. Easy to cut and apply. Easy to remove, doesn't leave any adhesive. Exactly like what my physical therapist applies. Be sure and round the corners before applying, as that helps it stay on longer. Be sure and look up the best way to apply it to your particular body part, stretch it appropriately to apply correct pressure and be sure to not stretch it in the last 1-2 inches. There are lots of YouTube videos to show how to correctly apply it to any body part. I use it on my ankle for an Achilles injury, and my knees that are loosening after total knee replacements. Have also used it on my CMC, but that's harder to apply as you have to use a split-tape procedure for part of it. Anyway, it works very well on multiple body parts, stays on through showering and activity, is comfortable, and is similar to the brand my P/T uses. Plus I like all the color/pattern options.!

Q: Curiuos : can this tape be used on drum sticks to supply a better grip, in lieu of specific drumstick tapes?

Honestly, I’m not a drummer so I’m not sure. From a quick Google search it looks like drumstick tapes are more plastic-y like electrical tape. Kinesiotape is much more cloth-y, and a little more stretchy. Kinesiotape would stick similarly to a drumstick and you could stretch it while putting it on so it’s not wrinkled on the drumstick. I’m not sure how those changes would affect the drummers ability to play though.
