Konig VHS-C Cassette Adapter [KN-VHS-C-ADAPT] - Not Compatible with 8mm/MiniDV

I was able to watch and dub videos that were over 20 years old. Worked like a champ, and was easy to setup and use.

Who wants to watch old family video that are on VHS-type tapes? This is for you! The quality of the build and the adapter are really good! It's easy to use, the sound quality is that of other VHS tapes, and you can fast forward and rewind using it. Overall a great value and useful item to have!

Had an issue with one of the tape extending arms locking in place. By holding outer door open I got it to lock in place. VHS played it flawlessly. Had difficulty in getting it to eject from VCR. Internal mechanism Broke on inserting 2nd VHS-C cartridge. Very poorly made transport mechanism for extending tape to work in VCR. It is going back!I would not recommend this unless you are handy and only have 1 or 2 tapes to play.UPDATE:After the first units failure I decided to exchange it for a second unit rather than getting a refund. Everyone(thing) deserves a second chance.The second adapter played one (1) tape flawlessly. It ate the second tape! This time it went back for a refund. Funny, this time I couldn’t return it to an Amazon location w/o boxing it for shipment. My only no cost option was a UPS store so instead of instant recognition of the return I have to wait for the UPS shipment to reach and be logged in by Amazon.Bottom line? Do not waste your time or $$ on this piece of junk!

Not a miracle but works for these older tapes

I had a 20 year old VHS-C cassette on which I had recorded my daughter's first birthday and I had been thinking for some time about how I would be able to recover it since the camcorder was long gone.I searched for an adapter and I came across the Konig VHS-C Cassette Adapter on Amazon. The next item that I needed was an ADC and I found the EasyCap USB Analog to Digital Converter on Souq.com. The next item on the list was a VHS player and I found a Sony unit with a friend which was in excellent condition!And, thus began my project to convert all the VHS cassettes that had been lying unused gathering dust in my cupboard.I was a bit skeptical about the Konig VHS-C Cassette Adapter but it performed flawlessly and the first cassette that I converted was the the VHS-C one with the birthday video on it.

This works pretty well with my 30 year old VHS-C tapes. I have handled them/it carefully as once in a while the take-up side of the adaptor got stuck. The tapes literally haven't been played in 30 years so I don't know if it's the adaptors fault or the tapes but it wasn't a problem as I didn't let too much tape roll out. I ejected the adaptor from the player, fished the tape out of the player, and rolled it up into the C cassette. I took the tape out of the adaptor put it back in and it worked perfectly. I think it's a good product as long as you are careful.

Does feel a bit fragile but it did work. Must be really careful with it when inserting the tape into the recorder
