This review is for the presentation on the kindle, not the content of the book.I have read and enjoyed the original Visible Ops (yellow cover), and the Visible Ops Private Cloud (blue cover), and was especially looking forward to reading this book. However, when I loaded this book on my kindle I was quite distressed to see that the Kindle version is effectively a ready-for-print PDF with two pages side by side like a "print to booklet" mode would give you.As other readers point out, there is no way to zoom in, so you can not move around on the page like you could if it was actually a PDF.The kindle version is a terrible disappointment which you will be unable to read.A new version should be uploaded with the correct Kindle-friendly formatting.

I have the paperback version, but the print is small and hard to read. So I bought the Kindle version thinking that I could enlarge the text to make it easier to read. Unfortunately, it was even worse on the Kindle. I would not purchase the Kindle version and wish I could get my money back.

Please notice that many of the other reviews here are about the font size of the Kindle version of the book, not about the contents of the book! Yes, even in the hardcopy, the fonts are a bit too small, but no worse than a hardcopy newspaper or magazine.This is a great handbook to go along with the organization-wide cultural changes described in The Phoenix Project. You don't have to read The Phoenix Project first to understand this handbook, but it provides more context to the recommendations, which are often changes to practices and habits in multiple departments (not just in IT).I work in IT security, I've taught IT security to thousands of people, and I can say without hesitation that this handbook is spot-on for identifying many of the root causes of the security issues in medium to large organizations. A company might struggle to "fix" their security problems in isolation (endless, frantic whack-a-mole security), but really these security problems are just symptoms of poor change management habits in general. But changing peoples' basic habits and beliefs about IT management is very hard to do. That's where the value of this handbook comes in. An IT department might agree to implement the CIS Critical Security Controls, for example, but they never finish (or even make much headway) because they can't handle any complex enterprise-wide changes, let alone security changes. Good intentions and teamwork are not enough, a plan is needed, and this handbook gives a starting point and a direction to get going.

DO NOT BUY KINDLE VERSION. The pages in the Kindle version are just images of the text and not in true Kindle format. Text is hardly readable and any tables or charts are impossible review. I purchased the physical book instead.

Renders so badly on Kindle. While the content of this book is great especially as an introduction and a compliment to their other books it's almost unreadable when viewed on amazon's cloud reader or iPhone (the book is just broken)
