Perfect replacement for my John Deere 318

Good carb

Was exactly the same as the original. installed it and got my Onan Engine back running again. Very happy.

The carb is fine. I installed it without doing anything to it. All of a sudden my tractor quit, and I thought it was electrical. Went through all the wiring, thought I'd found the problem with a safety switch. (This all benefited me, anyway). I put it back together and still wouldn't start. Started spraying starter fluid and got it to run, but it wouldn't start on it's own. Then I noticed gas leaking from the carb after shutting it down. Aughh! Had to take exhaust and covers, intake off and discovered the plug to the float bowl to access the main jet was gone! Couldn't find a proper threaded bolt to stick in (different than the original carb), so I turned a close one in to seal, and cut it off. It works fine, now.

someone had replaced the original carb with one that had the accelerator pump. Checking the engine numbers, it was incorrect. Installed this carb, adjusted the valves, installed new gaskets, and the engine was not surging or governor hunting anymore.

Bought this for an Onan b43g. The originals can go to 200 dollars. I installed it, tuned it and went on my way. Worth the time and money.

The carburetor pictured in this kit has the o ring for the base plate of the air filter assembly. When I received the carb and contents the o ring is missing. Contents are incomplete but since it took a week to get I had to order another kit just to get the o ring, I couldn’t wait on returning the product then wait on shipping again.

Carb works fine, I mounted it on a Kohler CH20 using a homemade intake. It should work for its intended Onan application as well. No complaints 👌
