VGA to HDMI Adapter Cable, 4ft with Audio for PC, Laptop to Monitor, Display, HDTV

I got a new computer and my big screen TV monitor was not compatible with the cord I was using.. I bought several other ones but it still didn't work.. found this one and it works!... this one had the right VGA to HMDI format ...I finally found one that works!

Initially bought the 4ft version, not realizing that there were longer options, but it and the longer replacement I bought both work perfectly fine, so I really can't complain!Used to connect my laptop to my Roku TV -- setup was incredibly simple, and the only thing I really had to do was make sure Windows knew it could still be widescreen when connected to the TV. :P The picture quality was a tiiiny bit blurry, but it's very slight, and pretty unnoticeable unless you're sitting a foot away from the screen.

So easy, so simple to install and use. Very pleased with this product. Would definitely recommend.

I bought it hoping to use it on my servers because all they have is VGA and would be nice to prep them in my office where I have HDMI TV/Monitors... Hooked it up and nothing, tried different servers, tried different monitors/tv's, nothing. Finally once I had OS loaded it showed a picture. I need it to work so I can change BIOS settings and to boot into OS installers not after OS is installed.

Works but my first reaction was "Not as vivid a pic as expected." This is probably because it appears "inexpensively made" as it is a generic version of what i wanted. Non-gold plated connections actually matter, which this is not. But the pro here is that this is the third such item I've ordered and I like the way its made best, meaning the volume plug is separate (like the second order but works better). The first order was a simple adapter needing additional cables but designed so the plug is too close to movement area and eventually broke because of constant bumping against.I haven't yet but plan to look for a better-made version of this.

The cable itself is excellent quality however I found that I only needed a HDMI cable to use on my laptop to connect to my TV in order to be able too watch and hear online movies,music etc...on my Smart TV. My laptop has both the VGA and HDMI ports I and was thinking I would need this VGA to HDMI cable since my laptop also has the VGA port.I would highly recommend this product to those that do have the VGA to HDMI port on their laptops and or desktop computers.I could not get the sound to work with this cable but was told by seller that VGA does not support audio and I would need a HDMI cable.She was most helpful and helped me to correct that issue.I purchased a HDMI cable and now I get both picture and sound from my laptop to my smart TV.All works perfectly now!!! I purchased this in March-2020, and I'm writing this review in Dec-2021 (this runs hot if using for a significant amount of time in a day.. and it eventually burned out... about a year after purchase.)It saved me big-time head-aches of the "Work From Home". It was plug and play, easy fix for a VGA source to a HDMI monitor and worked seamlessly.I connected this to an Old Toshiba Satellite Laptop (VGA) to an ASUS 24 inch HDMI gaming monitor and it all worked perfectly. Over a year's use of 5/days a week - connected at least 8 hour per day; The little box would always get very hot by the end of the day... I'd say "expected" for length of use.However, after a year's use... The device no longer converts the image from the laptop to the HDMI monitor cleanly. The image is now opaque and dark green. This device, finally burned out. I know it is this device, because a purchase another VGA to HDMI adaptor (from a different manufacturer) (for my PC Tower) and tried in on the Toshiba Laptop with the same ASUS monitor... and that works fine. So, yes, this item herein reviewed, is no longer functional. Well... for the price, at least I got a year's worth of use.You win some and you lose some. It saved me at an urgent need, but didn't' last as long as I expected it to.Regards,

It does the job and does it well. Order it in the length you need though. I wish i had done so because i underestimated the length i actually needed and had to adapt my original idea. Great price too
