These Meinl ES2-BK shakers? Oh yeah—they shake things up (pun very much intended). You get two of them, so one for each hand—unless you're that overachiever who tapes one to your foot.They’re small, lightweight, and sleek in that "I’m here to jam but also look cool doing it" way. The sound? Crisp, not too loud, not too soft—like that perfect background singer who knows how to blend without stealing the spotlight. Great for acoustic sets, jam sessions, or impressing your cat with a bossa nova rhythm.They won’t make you a pro overnight, but they will make you feel like one—and honestly, that’s half the battle. Whether you’re keeping time or just pretending to know what 6/8 means, these little guys are a vibe.

I bought these as a gift for entertaining kids who love shaker eggs. They work as well as more expensive shakers, and they've proven to be very durable, not breaking even when one was accidentally kicked through a stair rail opening and fell a full story onto a tile floor below. I wouldn't hesitate to buy these again.

I like the meinl egg shakers. I have the 4-pack that includes all the different volumes. This one resembles the loud one (red) or maybe the medium one (gray). I have other egg shakers like LP and others and I find meinl egg shakers to be the my favorite.

They're cheap and they're so damn versatile. Whoever figured out that the egg shape made for a very controllable shaker was a genius. Use one for a nice simple accompaniment. Add the other one to beef it up. Shift the position you're holding them for different tones. Hold one in each hand, mic each hand and you've got stereo! You can get a multi-rhythm going by shaking each differently (like a gallop). And it's much easier to get a slow rhythm going with these as opposed to a tube shaker or maracas.

Shakers have been one of our son's favorite toys/instruments. From very early on he was able to grab them and shake them. The shakers are sturdy, and in my case the paint hasn't come off even though my little one loves chewing on them. They are too big to fit in his mouth (he is 15 months) so it is not a choking hazard.We have several pairs in different colors so all the family can play together!

Quickly delivered, work well and good tome and size. I can fit two in one hand for a depth of sound and use them when I play the cajon for some added accent.
