Great crackling effects for model basing
Used it to make my Plaguebearers look like they were walking across a muddy toxic swamp. The crackling revealed the green paint underneath nicely.

It cracks, the key is a blow dryer
I was really happy with the cracked earth effect for my diorama. I was initially feeling a little let down because as it dried, regardless of thickness, it was failing to crack. Once I got a hairdryer on it, the cracking effect was almost immediate. It took my desert landscape to the next level. I secured the effect with some matte mod podge so that it wouldn't flake away. I will buy more for my desert landscapes

Cool!
Does a great job at creating that dried mud look on mini bases. I'm loving it.

It’s expensive but works extremely well when applied liberally
Great textures if applied liberally.

Practice makes perfect!
This is great product that will yield good results but I recommend practicing your technique on some sacrificial bases to find the sweet spot for the effect you want. The difference between applying this product too thick or too thin can be tricky to figure out. (I was still dialing in my technique on the attached picture.)But once you figure it out, you can get some cool effects. I've had good luck basecoating the base and then applying a layer of white glue. Make sure you let everything dry THOROUGHLY and then apply a medium thick coat of Agrellan Earth. The result will be a great crackled surface with larger patches of the base color showing through. Cool effect.
