This is a very nice thumb drive
This is a very nice thumb drive. It is compact with a sturdy metal protective cover over the USB connector. The cover swivels 180 degrees and has a detent at each end of the travel. It also has an LED access indicator to show it is alive during long I/O operations. I reformatted mine as NTFS with no problems. For the price and 64 gig of storage this drive is unbeatable. It runs at true USB 3 speeds and so far has not missed a beat. I would recommend it for anyone looking for performance and quality construction at a terrific price.... Get one, you will not be disappointed!

Has served me well
I bought this 4 years ago. Finally got around to reviewing it since I just bought the 256GB version. This has worked well over the years, it still works well but I wanted a larger USB flash drive. Speeds are decent, the sequential read is slower than the newer 256GB USB 3.1 and random reads were just a bit slower. Sequential write is better by a bit and random writes are much better surprisingly. It was a great drive, but you can get much larger capacities now for not even that much more. I do really like the design of the drive and the swivel cap is great, I can loop a lanyard through it.

Impressive Speeds for the price + Well Known Brand!
Hello! I was hesitant to buy a flash drive since I was looking for a drive with fast speeds for the price (best price per performance) and all I needed was 64GB. So, when I was searching for a 64GB flash drive, I stumbled upon the drive and once I saw the brand, I immediately brought and tested it out. For sequential, the read and write speed was just simply amazing for only $8 and I was able to copy multiple files (~200mb) in under 3 seconds! I would 100% recommend this drive for someone who's budget is as tight as mine. The only issue is that the write speed for random is very slow and leaves a lot to desire, but I think it's still usable for normal and typical usage. If you are buying this drive to constantly write small files, this wouldn't be the best drive and I would spend a bit more for a better drive but overall, the price justifies it a lot! Now on to the physical part of the USB flash drive. The build quality is what as you expected from an $8 flash drive. Mostly plastic, but there is metal. The build quality is pretty sturdy due to the fact that the swirl metal cover can protect it from a lot of damages and you usually wouldn't find this in most cheap 64GB flash drives! Although there is plastic, the plastic feels nice to hold due to the fact that there's a pattern engraved on the drive which makes it satisfying to hold which is an added bonus. Also, if you want to strap your drive onto something like your key chain, it is possible. Finally, when turning/swirling the metal cover, you could feel a click every time you turn 90 degrees which is another bonus since it really satisfying to play around with. Ratings: Build Quality: 4/5 - Very great build quality. Sturdy and nice to look at. Speed: 3/5 - The random write speeds leaves a lot to desire, but the sequential speeds is insane! Price: 5/5 - This is probably one of the best drive to buy for only $8 if you're looking for a 64GB flash drive. Conclusion: I would highly recommend this drive for anyone who would like to use this as their daily driver as it has a lot of advantages, especially the price per performance, so if you're in a very tight budget, I would recommend this 64GB flash drive by Silicon Power! Thanks for reading my review!

So far, so good....
I bought the 64GB version on June 5th so I can't give a review about longevity but for the most part, this little guy has not let me down. I have used this usb drive on my PS3 to watch movies, move large files to and from multiple computers, have some documents that I regularly have to update on the drive at all times, and am now using this as a media server cloud drive with my ASUS RT-N66W router. It has worked very well so far. One thing to note before I continue is that you will only see a 57.3GB drive show up on your computer even though you bought a 64GB drive. Don't be alarmed!!! This is because of storage manufacturers and computers not having the same definition for what constitutes as a gigabyte. Storage manufacturers 1000mb = 1gb v.s. computers 1024mb = 1gb. After extensive testing, from files ranging from MP3's, MP4's, JPEGS, Rar archives, avi, and a full on Unity project, ranging in size from 3MB to 16GB; writing TO the USB drive from a computer would usually be a low 40 - 50MB/s but writing FROM the USB drive to the computer the write speed would be anywhere from 82 - 150MB/s. All of this testing was from a couple of USB 3.0 ports, 2 from a laptop, 2 from a desktop. I didn't test USB 2.0 as that would definitely be slower and I wasn't planning on using this on a 2.0 port. The read and write speeds actually vary somewhat which was perplexing when moving files. For whatever reason, I would have different read and write speeds with the same file on the same computer every time. For example, if I move a 700MB movie .avi file to and fro, i would get speeds ranging from 30MB/s - 90MB/s whereas my Corsair Flash Survivor would always be consistent at ~85MB/s. It's not that big a deal because the USB drive would get faster overtime so if it takes one minute at 30MB/s, your file would transfer at 30 seconds at something like 76MB/s. It's just a weird situation I guess. The only issue I have had with this is that the USB drive can become very, very hot. I don't know what is the normal operating temperature for this drive but after only 3 minutes, the drive gets very hot when left in a usb port. The metal cover gets especially hot. This does give me a worry about long term usage so I will continue testing it as a cloud drive and see if there is any issues that come up. Finally, my verdict is as follows: The good: reasonable price, USB 3.0, good design (in my opinion), and large storage capacity. The bad: Fluctuating read and write speeds The ugly: High temperature gives worry for long-term usage For these reasons, I gave this a 4 out of 5 stars as all in all, a very good bang for the buck. Now that this little baby is nestled in my router, I think I have found it a good home. EDIT: As of this edit, I left the drive in my router the 99% of the time and I haven't found any data loss or any real discrepancies in transfer speeds. It seems to work well as a media server/ cloud storage. Again, the only thing I worry about is the longevity of this drive because of the heat that gets produced but so far so good. UPDATE 2 (November 9, 2014): So the drive is working very well. I'm still using it as a media server/ cloud storage on my ASUS router. The heating has stayed constant throughout the time I've had the flash drive and my worries have subsided over the heating issues since the drive has been working fine so far.

Der USB-Stick des Typs "Blaze" mit einer Nenn-Speicher-Kapazität von 64 GB hat eine Nutz-Kapazität von 57,7 GB bzw. 62.025.363.456 Bytes.

It's quite an impressive USB 3.0 flash drive for the price: - Proper USB 3.0 transfer speeds - Sturdy metal cap is both functional and protective - Shipped in under two days! - Prevents unwanted pregnancy I'll likely be buying another one.

It is fast, ~100MB/s read and write with my drive, definitely a good price for this performance. The rotational cap is actually a great idea as you won't forget your cap this way, however it's a bit loose such that I sometimes have the cap shifted when I keep it in my pocket.
