So don't get this item if the idea is to stop kids from turning lights on or off because for that you need a switch guard plate cover that goes over the entire switchplate. Personally, I've now bought 3 of these two pack guards because we have switches that control attic or outside lights where you cannot see the light go on or off when you flip the switch. And of course when you have visitors, they will undoubtedly find all of these switches and flip them on and you will never know until you get the electric bill. These guards are stylish, functional, install easily and have saved me a fortune in electric bills. For these reasons I highly recommend this product.

How did I not know these existed? I was looking for some do it yourself videos to install an overhead motion light above my front door outside and found these!!! There are other options that lift, but things like that break. (In my house)! Install in a minute remove the 2 screws. Replace the 2 screws! I love that you can reach in the side and have the option to turn it off and on. I have one at my front door. No accidentally fumbling for my keys because the switch was turned off inside. The other one went into the garage for the lights on either side of the garage door. I have dusk to dawn lights on either side of the garage door, so that switch also needs to stay on. Before this handy cover, I had tape across it to keep it on!!!! Solid plastic. I don't think I will ever have to replace them! Excellent price as well!

It’s a great way to mark light switches that usually shouldn’t be flipped, while still allowing emergency access — but you probably already knew that.Let me tell you something you might not have known. Not all white plastics are the same white. This product was described simply as “white”, which I expected to mean a bright white. In reality it’s more like a creamy white.It does not quite match the face plate, as you can see in my photo. I’m getting used to that, But I do wish I had realized that before buying.One positive thing that folks might not realize, which I can confirm works, is that this style of light protector can be used over rotary dimmer switches. Pull the rotary dial off, and the protector can fit over the remaining stem. That way, you have the option to go back to the rotary dial later, or to twist the dial in tiny increments with pliers from the side. Flexibility!My photo shows this being done with a clear colored protector from a different manufacturer, but this one can do the same thing.

Perfect fit and easy to install, I just used the screws that were already in my wall plate to install this cover over my light switch. The cover is open on the one side so the light switch can still be turned off/on if necessary.The light switch in my bedroom is connected to the outlet and the lamp I have plugged into that outlet has smart bulbs in it. The lamp also has outlets, my Alexia and chargers for my phone and watch are plugged into the outlets also. It never fails, someone will walk into my room and tell Alexa to turn on the light and then turn the light switch off when they leave! I covered the switch to stop this from happening, it works great for my purposes.

There are four lockers in our Senior's Apartments that have trash bins in them for the residents to utilize when discarding their trash each week. The single toggle switch outside each LOCKER controls the power to the overhead lights and the exhaust fan. It is crucial that the switch remains ON 24/7/365 to ensure those small rooms are constantly being vented to the outside. By placing this switch cover over the toggle switch it would require extra STUBBORN EFFORT to shut off the lights and exhaust fan, so this switch cover helps send the message to NOT turn off the power ! ! ! 😃👍👀🙄🙏🤎❤️‍🔥💭

I have smart plugs and bulbs in a couple of places in my house, so I need those switches to stay on all the time. I bought these to keep people from accidentally turning them off. They installed easily, look great, and are just right for what I needed! It's easy to reach in and flip the switch if you need to, but still keeps people from inadvertently doing so. PERFECT!

Bought these to protect light switches tied to our front and back porch lights, that are now Ring floodlight cameras, so the kids don't accidentally turn them off. They do the job just fine, but still allow you access from one side to flip the switch if needed. Our light switch covers had screws that were long enough to support these, but your mileage may vary on that.
