Purchased as a backup battery. Works just fine with my Canon camera

I bought this battery because it was cheap and the reviews were okay. This does not have the usage like the original OEM battery BUT I bought it only for a backup. It holds a full charge for several weeks and that is what is important to me. It last about 75% of the original which is more than enough to get my over the hump when I forget to charge the Primary battery.

I was a bit skeptical I when I ordered this as I wasn't very sure if it will work on my Canon G7x III. There was no reviews/comments from people using it on G7x III when I bought this. But since it cost only about 1/3 of the original Canon battery I took the chance. It turns out the battery works as advertised. The issue: No battery indicator; but that's expected so it's not a big deal for me.I use this as my first battery and the original battery as my secondary. The reason I use the original battery as secondary is because that one has the battery indicator so I'd know exactly how many juice I have before I 100% run out of battery. This Wasabi battery also works fine on my Canon's standard charger.

Great product and service

When my OEM NB-13L started fading before a vacation, I got one of these Wasabi-branded 3rd party batteries as a replacement (as a gift). That was 4 years ago and it still holding up well. I knew I needed some extended support for the eclipse this year, so I purchased another as a backup. The 4 year old battery ran my camera for nearly 2 hrs (continuously) before I had to swap the battery. I think that's amazing. Even from the start, this battery seemed to last just as long as the OEM did (when the OEM battery was new that is). Anyway, I'm very happy with the original one of these I got and expect this new one to perform well too. It will charge just fine in my Cannon 720, but cannon nerfed the firmware and the camera will not show state of charge reliably for 3rd party batteries and will try to say they are dead when they still have nearly half a charge left in them. The camera will also under-charge them which, ironically, will extend the lifespan of these compared to the OEM. So, if you know you'll need a bit 'extra' camera time--charge from an external source before heading out.

Bought this as a backup to have during an extended trip (cruise) and used it interchangeably with the OEM battery that came with my Canon SX720. Every time I used the camera, I just used the battery that happened to be in it, then swapped in the 'spare' at the end of the day and recharged the one I used. Could not tell any difference between the original battery and this one. Neither was completely used up during any shooting day so I can't really say much about overall capacity. I'm happy with the batery and really like the price compared to Canon's. No compatibility problems whatsoever.

For the most part, the battery is working fine for far. I bought this as a last minute resort for my G7X Mark II for a trip to Disneyland because my original battery is not really holding a charge anymore, and it worked perfectly fine!I got no error message or working message like the comments have said, and it dose give me a battery percentage as well. Charges perfectly fine on my original cannon charger. Working like an original.I was sceptical about buying this battery because there is some negative reviews talking about warning messages and the percentage not showing up but as far as the one I got , I have no complaints so far. Last longer then my original battery! I’m about to buy another one! I would recommend For G7X Mark II
