Perfect replacement motor for BDCDMT120 B&D Matrix drill
The motor on my Black & Deck Matrix drill (BDCDMT120C) went kaputt, so I set out to find a low-cost solution. ALL the reviews for the motor with the actual part number from the drill said that motor was worthless. I found a Reddit post recommending this motor. Lo and behold, it's the real deal.It is a perfect fit, and it fired right up after changing it out. It took about fifteen minutes to open the machine (eight screws), take the motor out, remove the spindle from the old shaft and put it on this one, put it back together, and start drilling again. The only weird thing is this new motor spins more slowly than the old one (rs -50vc-7527), but I don't really think that matters to me. If this motor lasts, then it's worth the money. If it doesn't, I will update this review.

Great cordless drill replacement motor
I had a Black & Decker 14.4v drill whose motor had burned out. This motor seemed to be an exact replacement and turned out to be perfect. I was able to easily swap motors and have a drill that is like new for way less than a new one. I have used it for hours so far with no problems.

Repaired Black & Decker String Trimmer
My B&D string trimmer's (Model LST220) motor wore out, or more accurately, the brushes disintegrated and locked up the motor. I prefer to repair rather than replace things, but B&D doesn't seem to offer replacement parts. A small electric motor seemed to be a pretty common part, so the search was on for a viable replacement. This RS-550s appeared to be the correct diameter, voltage, and RPM. Also, the mounting holes lined up exactly with the mounting holes on the trimmer's reduction drive part. The only issue was that it was shorter than the original motor. I used some scrap wood, the old motor, and epoxy to make an extension ring so that this new shorter motor would fit securely in the space where the old motor fit. The string trimmer has been used several times since I replaced the motor and it has worked well. No issues so far.

Works as expected
I was skeptical when I ordered the motor, but besides having to remove the gear from the old motor and press it on to the new one, everything is working well.

Well worth the money, was excatly as described
Item arrived extremely fast, was very surprised at how fast it arrived. I was rebuilding a Black and Decker Matrix driver, the original motor (rs550vc-7525) was not readily easy to find or priced at where it would be a good rebuild item. After measuring and comparing all the specifications this motor was a great replacement, not only did it fit perfectly it was rated at the correct voltage for the driver. The original motor was rated for 12V but they used 20V to run it. This seems to be a much stronger motor than the original, and should last much longer. Wish all the sellers on Amazon reacted as fast as these sellers did, and packed the items as well.

Great replacement motor for my B&D 18V cordless trimmer
This motor was just what I needed to bring my 18V Black and Decker cordless trimmer back to life. It works better than ever now. :-) The original and probably this motor have brushes touching the commutator to get electricity to the coils. (absolutely normal for such motors) The only problem is that the brushes eventually wear out and replacement becomes necessary. Since the brushes are not replacable, one ends up replacing the whole motor and B&D has stopped making them. Also take care matching things up. Black and Decker made a wide array of different models some of which would not work with this motor. (but many do) ...requires visual inspection and checking the specs but it worked for me. The shaft was a bit shorter but still long enough to be just fine.

Electric Motor for Drill? NOT!
purchased as replacement motor for 14.4V 3/8 inch chuck Craftsman VSR 0-600rpm drill/driver. NOT as measured in length - 3/8 inch shorter. terminals are 3/16 inch wide versus 1/4 on OEM. otherwise, matched physical size of OEM. after reassembling with new motor, trialed it with hand on chuck. NO torque. Nothing. I could hold chuck and completely stopped rotation. Does NOT have any power. Must only be good for RC toys. Avoid for power tools.
