Frigidaire DGGF3042KFGallery 30" Stainless Steel Gas Sealed Burner Range - Convection

This is absolutely one of the worst consumer products ever made and the company that makes this product has no regard for their customers at all.We purchased this oven as a birthday gift for me back in September of 2011. Within less than 1 year, the back control panel started to warp and within a few weeks of it beginning to warp, about half of the buttons quit working. Fortunately we were still within the one year warranty period, but it still was like pulling teeth to get Frigidaire/Electrolux to come our and fix their garbage designed appliance. So finally, they came out and replaced the entire board and key pad.................and then about 10 months later THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN! Only this time, the range was more than one year old. Frigidaire/Elextrolux didn't care. They were, in fact, quite rude on the phone.......so for the last few years, we have been able to turn the oven on and keep limping along, but to turn the oven off, we have to go to the garage and turn the oven off at the breaker. This is incredibly unsafe. It blows my mind that such a product would even be allowed to exist on the market. Government has failed us too. We have reported the issue to the CPSC and nothing but crickets......I guess someone will have to die or get seriously injured for Frigidaire / Elextrolux or the federal government to care. What a sad, sad world it is that we live in.I don't know how in the world the executive leadership, shareholders or anyone associated with this company sleeps at night knowing darn good and well that they make dangerous products that could seriously injure or kill someone. My husband is an Engineer and he says without a doubt that the product has a design flaw related to the build up of heat in front of the control panel and the quality of the laminates and adhesives used to make the control panel cannot withstand the temperatures. Its very telling that Frigidaire has now discontinued making the larger display panels........because they know they have a serious design flaw with their product.Now, just 3 days ago, we cant even get the oven to turn on....it is completely broken and the cost to replace the damaged part is $200.....I feel so used and betrayed by this company. We cannot afford to go and by another, but we cant afford to go and by a $200 part that we know will fail in less than one year.Does anybody who works for Frigidaire / Elextrolux have a conscious? Does any one at that company care about the mental anguish and suffering that they inflict upon other human beings? This was supposed to be a happy birthday gift for me and it has turned into a nightmare.Thanks a lot Frigidaire / Elextrolux. I will never never never by a product made by your company as long as I live and I will always tell my friends or anyone else looking for appliances of how bad an experience I had.. not just with the product itself, but with the company that sells it.

We bought this model in February, 2014 as part of a house renovation, and began using it that June. The temperature calibration for the oven has never been accurate despite several attempts to get it set properly. Two weeks ago, absent any pressure down upon it, the left oven door hinge broke - - just came undone - sending that half of the door to the floor, and bending the right hinge. Bent, as well, was the connecting rod to the grill shelf. Bear in mind, this was after just two years of use. (A wooden stick presently holds the oven door in place.)I have been up the complaint chain from Frigidaire to parent company Electrolux, where there was grudging willingness to offer new parts, but not labor. The availability of warranties simply underscores the fact that one is playing roulette with kitchen appliances these days.....the days of two and three decades of reliability are long gone.

Control board fails. Worked for 5 years and failed just after extended warranty ended. Now I'm looking for a replacement part. Hopefully can get another 5 years. In retrospect I wish I had purchased the next level up.

Is anyone else experiencing this? The plastic display/control panel is slipping down. The result is a large gap (1/2 inch) at the top and the clock is now covered and inst readable unless I squat and look up at it. I can't seem to find a way to dismantle this component and adjust this piece. Any thoughts to share?

I've had the range for 2 weeks and it works great. I like the fact that I have 17K BTU's when I need them and the oven works fine. It looks great and I got a good deal on the range. It does what it's supposed to do and does it well. Don't be afraid to purchase this product. I've purchased items before that had good and bad reviews. Those items worked great for me. Sometimes I think it's the person and not the product that might have the problem. I will report again when more time has passed. Remember over analysis leads to paralysis.

I replaced my 15 year old top-rated Jenn-Aire Grill Range with this Frigidaire 5 burner convection oven range. I feel that this range is superior to the Jenn-Aire, especially in view of the price disparity. The Frigidaire has a much larger oven, and it regulates the temperature much better. The 5 burners offer much greater heat range than the Jenn-Aire, and I can cook in less time as a result. I love the durable feel of the real metal control knobs on this range and how positive they are set. I did give up indoor grilling, but I gained no more drafty kitchen from the updraft venting and the 6 inch hole through my wall. I have recommended this range to my mother and my daughter because I feel that confident in its quality and versatility.

we bought this last yr and its giving us so much hard time. sometimes the burners don't work or the knobs come out, I wont recommend it to anyone...
