Brain Quest Workbook: Grade 5

This book will guide your child through 5th Grade material and may even extend in certain subjects. It aligns with my child's curriculum and is a good filler to ensure learning. It provides clues in the brain box and the answers for easy grading. I would highly recommend this book! I've tried the 3rd grade book, too! I loved it as well.

We are a homeschool family and love the Brain Quest books as a supplement to use with our currículum. During summers we use BrainQuest books as a summer bridge course. It covers educational standards necessary for the school year. And helps our family stay on top and not forget all they’ve learned throughout the year. They enjoy the Brainquest cards and I’ve usually bought the BrainQuest and cards as a package. Didn’t realize it’s sold separately so we were sad to find that only the book arrived. But nonetheless, it’s a great educational resource. (Since, my kid is not yet proficient in spelling I am loving that this workbook includes the spelling vocabulary, LA, reading, and writing. Other books usually lack the spelling and vocabulary section and we’ve had to buy an additional spelling book for the summer.) This Grade 5 (ages 10-11) workbook includes the following subjects which are also sorted by different colors: Spelling and vocabulary Language arts Reading Writing Math skills Multiplication and division Fractions and decimals Geometry and measurements Probability and data Algebra Word problems Social studies Science Technology Answer key Brain quest extras: mini deck that you or student can cut out. (We will probably laminate our mini-deck to continue to reference throughout the school year). It also includes a certificate of Achievement!

I absolutely love the Brain Quest Workbook: 5th Grade Revised Edition! I bought this because my son was spending way too much time on electronics, and his behavior was becoming disruptive and even destructive at times. Since introducing this workbook, the change has been incredible! He genuinely enjoys working through the activities, and it has allowed me to cut back on his screen time without him feeling bored or restless. The subjects are well-organized and cover everything he needs for his grade level. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, which makes it simple for me to guide him through the lessons when needed. I also love the answer key in the back—it’s perfect for checking his work and helping him learn from mistakes. This workbook has not only improved his academic engagement but also his overall behavior at home. He’s more focused, calmer, and proud of his progress. If you’re looking for a way to keep your child learning and entertained without screens, this is an amazing resource. Highly recommend!

I like the whole Brain Quest brand. I have been purchasing BQ for years for my children. They love the flash cards and workbooks. My son finished 5th grade this past June. I ordered the 5th grade book for him as a review of the previous grade and to see if he missed anything during the year. He enjoys doing the book and I think because of the colorful pages and assignments. The assignments aren't so long that he gets exhausted and frustrated. The pages have "Brainbox" on the pages that show children how to do the work as well as easy to read information about the material covered. Going over the assignments it appears that the material starts off easy and progresses to more difficult assignments. I've purchased other brand books with assignments but I find my children more likely to enjoy and finish the assignments in the BQ workbooks.

I find these so helpful for the kids during the summer. I have been buying these for the last 10 years for both of my kids. The activities are fun and educational without being overwhelming.

I have been using these as supplemental learning for my son, and they are so good! We started with 1st grade book when he was in first grade, but now that he is in 3rd grade he has been removed from regular classes and put into a highly capable program. I just bought him the grade 6 book to do as homework in the evenings. It is challenging, but the explanations and instructions are great which allows him to grasp the concepts quickly. While his advanced placement is entirely his own achievement, these books have been paramount in providing him with new and enriching material he wouldn’t be getting in class.

We use this over the summer to keep our kids sharp and prevent summer slide.

Definitely recommend to help your child not loose some of the knowledge she learned the previous year. Recommend to purchase one for each summer with the grade appropriate grade.
