Greenlee10498 Replacement Bullet Nose Tip

This is a well made product, the bullet nose is very sharp, and the metal is durable. I was seeking a replacement for my Southwire fish rod that came with a VERY similar looking tip, and so I figured it was probably the same manufacturer. Well i was wrong, because the thread on this is different so it doesn't screw in on my Southwire. Works on my other fish rod.

I use these to run wire. I really like that I can stick the wire through the hole. I don’t like that it comes undone so easily though.

Just assure you order this tip for the proper manufacturer and all is good. The design is bad to begin with Greenlee. Make sure you either use some "Loctite" in the threads to assure you don't lose your end again or at least "tape" the end on to keep the tip from coming off again. I would order a different system altogether if I knew that this tip would come off so easily to begin with.
