i will update as time goes on
(2/20/24) i received and used it last night. the shampoo smells good. the conditioner smells a little weird to me but not necessarily “bad” weird. neither of them smell so strong that the scent lingers or anything though. i don’t notice a huge difference in frizz or anything (but that’s most likely a fault on my part for not knowing how to style my hair lol). my hair does feel cleaner than it would with my old shampoo (native brand). and my hair feels “lighter” if that makes sense. like it’s not being weighed down by any residues or anything like that. so far i like it :) as for thickening-results, i’ll obviously have to wait to share that. so i’m setting a reminder on my phone to remind me to update this review every 3 months, maybe for the next year or so, with pictures and whatnot. (2/26/24) i know i said id right a review 3 months from now (and i still will) but i wanted to mention that i’ve washed my hair twice now with this stuff and my hair is definitely feeling softer. like silky soft. i love it :) (6/27/24) sooo i finally caved and saw a curly hair specialist ($$$ 😮💨). i’ve only ever gotten trims—never a haircut. but my hair had gotten so long (past my butt) that all that weight pulled the curl out of my hair. plus, as i mentioned before, idk how to style my hair lol so i needed help from a curly hair specialist to figure out what the heck to do with my mane. i won’t belabor all the details she shared with me, but apparently *another* reason my curls were kind of limp was because of certain products i was using (like shea moisture leave in conditioner, for example). my hair in particular needs a water based, light, “airy” kind of moisture, NOT a heavy, oil-based product that would only cause my hair to lay flat. anyways, the hair stylist asked what shampoo/condish i used, and i showed her this, and she said that this would be good to use once in a while to “deep clean,” but that i shouldn’t use it on a regular basis. ACV cleans VERY thoroughly, so it will remove all the build up of products and everything, which is good! but if you use it too frequently, it can be too drying and leave your hair more vulnerable to damage and whatnot. so as of now, i’m using R+Co shampoo/condish as per her recommendation, and using the ACV products like once a month or so. my hair still feels soft and silky :) i have not necessarily noticed an increase in thickness, although i can’t say that that’s a fault of the product, since im using it far less frequently now. my hair is very thick to begin with. my concern was that my hair began to thin out near my temples (probably due to autoimmune issues.. which a shampoo cannot fix on its own anyway lol). anyways, this may or may not be my last review. i just wanted to conclude that i like this product a lot! and to share what my hair stylist said about overusing this, which, you’re welcome to do with that info as you please. just food for thought :)

GREAT!!
I trust this cruelty-free brand and already use quite a few of their products. For reference my hair type is 1C, double processed with highlights to blend grey and past my shoulders. I blow dry and use heat styler / curling iron a few times a week, so my hair takes a beating and I use quite a bit of hair products, This shampoo and condition makes my hair feel super squeaky clean and leaves my hair feeling smooth healthy and NOT weighed down. Both shampoo and conditioner have a lovely scent. PLUS it is safe for color treated hair. For years, I have used Fekkai Apple Cider clarifying shampoo and it was discontinued - I found this to be a very good alternative to that now defunct line, at less than half the price of the shampoo alone! I don't use this shampoo every time I wash, as it is a clarifying shampoo for build up, maybe use it only twice a month, But I will probably use the conditioner every time I wash. Very happy to have found this.

It does what it claims
Reluctant and pessimistic about what a shampoo can really do, I was apprehensive to spend nearly $30 for shampoo and conditioner. Especially when I'm used to spending 1-2 dollars a bottle. I had surfer dude hair for much of my life. In my 20's I began to notice a lot of hair fallout. One year I decided to shave my head and donate my hair. Great! No more hair maintenance and 0 fallout (that I could see). I shaved my own head for 10 years and last year my hair started growing out again like a porcupine. My brother told me, 'You look better with hair." So, I decided to grow my hair out again. My hair is about 6 inches long now (halfway back to surfer dude hair) and for the last month I've noticed how much more my hair is falling out in the shower (20-30 strands). It's stressful when you have that much hair come out every day. You look at the ingredients on the backs of your shampoo and conditioner bottles and you THINK that those ingredients SHOULD promote hair growth and prevent your hair from falling out so much. It makes you skeptical of what any other shampoo and conditioner might be able to do (especially when you're frugal like myself). I thought about using the big name brands in the store but they all have similar ingredients (all stuff that's difficult for me to pronounce). I looked at all the different anti hair loss shampoos on Amazon for about a week - going back and forth over the reviews and what wouldn't be too big of a loss if the stuff didn't work. I opted for the PURA D'OR Apple Cider Vinegar Thin2Thick Set Shampoo Conditioner because I understood all the ingredients. I wanted something with caffeine in the ingredients but I didn't see it listed. Anyhow, I'm sure you're reading my review because you want a verdict and not my life story. My first shampoo with this, of course nothing is going to work a miracle the very first time, well, close to nothing. I had the same amount of hair fall out BUT my hair felt a lot lighter and bouncier after the very first use. That in itself was impressive! It must have been the apple cider vinegar. As other reviewers might say, it doesn't have GREAT lather (even with an in home soft water system). Here's the trick I use. 1/2 a pump in my hand, I rub my hands together to create the lather, use the lather in one hand to work into the areas where my hair is thinning, rub my hands together again to create more lather, use the lather in the other hand to treat other areas where my hair is thinning, and for a third time, rub my hands together again to get the last bit of lather and use both hands to work the lather into my hair and scalp. Don't massage like you're giving your scalp a deep tissue massage. You'll just agitate your scalp, loosening your hair where it's planted. Be gentle and kind. The elixir will eventually get to where it needs to go. For good luck I rub the top of my head like I'm rubbing Buddha's belly. Just kidding. I do rub it in like that but not for good luck. My girlfriend says I'm getting a bald spot there. Third use, maybe a little less hair fallout. Fourth use, I was still half asleep in the shower and used a full pump (too much). Still some hair fallout but maybe even a little less. I was too tired to notice. Fifth use, wow! Less hair fallout! This stuff might be working! I reserve the conditioner for the weekends because 1) I don't like the feel of buildup in my hair. It just makes me feel like I have to wash my hair again. 2) Refer to earlier statement. I'm cheap. Sixth and seventh use, maybe a dozen strands of hair fallout each time. I'm sold on this product! For daily conditioning, I used about 2-3 pumps of the conditioner in a 10 ounce spray bottle and filled the rest of the bottle up with beer. Just kidding. With water and shook it up to make a leave in conditioner. It still weighs down my hair, but not too badly. I hope my review helped those of you in search of the same thing I was (less hair fallout) and this review helped to narrow it down to only a few of many choices out there on Amazon. Since I've recently had success with this product, I never realized how toxic the ingredients you can barely pronounce on those other bottles of shampoos and conditioners can be. I didn't expect much (if anything) from this product, but I'm glad I cut the padlock off my wallet to buy this one. Remember though, all of our body chemistries are different. I have the DNA of a horned lizard and you may have the DNA of a hedgehog. No, really though. I was fortunate enough to have good results with this product where others may have had a bad reaction or tried to rub it in like they were rubbing in a dry rub on a rack of pork ribs. Again, be gentle and kind to your head (and to everyone else in the world)! It's going to work differently for everyone. It's not a universal treatment for anti-hair loss but it HAS helped a lot for ME. I've noticed with my last few shampoos these last few days. Try it for a week. I think the manufacturer states, "Satisfaction Guaranteed." Good luck and grow some hair. And when you're tired of your hair, cut it all off and donate it to a non-profit organization.

Love this Shampoo and Conditioner!
This shampoo and conditioner are staples in my beauty routine. The apple cider vinegar is great for my scalp so I use these to prevent build up and my hair comes out soft and shiny. Will be buying them again!

Don’t be Skeptical
I have proof of this working because my hair was dyed really dark brown, I’m naturally dirty blonde so the grow out has been pretty obvious. I’ve no joke been using this for three months and the amount my hair has grown is insane. I thought it would dry out my hair also, but it’s pretty soft. I have medium fine hair, and it’s made my hair way stronger, I lose much less hair in the shower which is helpful because I have PCOS. My best friend is a hair stylist and she says that apple cider vinegar has this affect on people’s hair so it really is the real stuff. Trust me though, it’s worth the price. I have an app called Yuka that scans barcodes and tells you if there’s any harmful additives to food or beauty products, and this one has a fantastic score to top it all off. I’ll buy it again and again

Reviewing this after nearly a year of use.
I wanted to wait at least a half a year before writing a review on this, as I know how inaccurate and bias a review can be even after a week of trying something new, especially with cosmetic products. With that said, since my first purchase of this, this combo pack is the only shampoo/conditioner I've used on my head in the shower, every other day, for nearly a year. The biggest plus I've seen with these products is that it has been the only shampoo/conditioner I've used that treated the dandruff I'd get every year during the dry, colder seasons. I have not had any flakes ONCE since using it which has been awesome. I never had really bad dandruff to begin with, but it was enough to notice on my head and cause excessive itching that others brands that were marketed for anti-dandruff like Head & Shoulders didn't help. But since this shampoo, dandruff is a thing in the past. However, despite buying it for its secondary anti-dandruff properties, I ultimately decided on this set for what they marketed would clarify damaged hair and aid the growth of thicker, fuller hair while preventing hair loss, which I have not seen any evidence of. In fact, my hair felt more thin/lightweight after a couple months of washing with these products than it did before, and looks noticeably more thin the day after I shower with shampoo. I wasn't expecting it to be a miracle, since there's only so much shampoo can do about regrowth or anti-loss of hair on the scalp, but I was at least expecting to see some sort of halting in loss, or even a small change in how thick my hair looked cosmetically. Sadly, it hasn't lived up to that half of their bargain that they promote. However, the cleaning properties of the shampoo work great and make my hair feel clean, albeit my hair still feeling a bit slick rather than a sticky dry. PROS: Incredible shampoo/conditioner for dandruff and flakes in general, and does its job cleaning with more natural ingredients. CONS: If you're looking to this shampoo (speaking as a man) for hair loss or trying to aid regrowth on your scalp, don't expect this to help out a lot, especially if you're not using any other hair loss product in tandem with this shampoo. After almost a year, my hair doesn't seem to have gotten thicker, and if anything, it looks like it only got a tad thinner since using this in my hair care routine. Other con for some may be how both the shampoo and conditioner are scented.

Great shampoo and conditioner!!
I can’t seem to find a good shampoo/conditioner combo that doesn’t leave my hair and scalp greasy or irritated. I’m a delicate, oily flower lol. I used to never wear moisturizer, wash my face with a harsh cleanser and then complain that my face was greasy. Then it occurred to me, my face was greasier without moisturizer BECAUSE my body was making up for stripping away the natural oils and I never replaced it. What does that have to do with hair? Well, I didn’t want to do the same thing with a harsh clarifying shampoo. I found this natural shampoo and conditioner free of all the other garbage other companies put in their products. This product literally allows me to go 2 days with my hair down (my “hair schedule” used to be wash, wear down 1 day, ponytail/bun for 2 additional days, wash, repeat). I’ve never been able to wear my hair down 2 days in a row due to oil. On top of that, my scalp doesn’t get those sebum deposits like other shampoos/conditioners cause me to get. My scalp doesn’t feel irritated, my hair doesn’t feel weighed down, I still get a nice lather with the shampoo and the conditioner conditions well enough even though it isn’t super thick. My hair is SUPER shiny (like, seriously very shiny), soft and manageable without any product. My hair is naturally thicker and straight, but Florida humidity tends to frizz it a little. A quick pass with the straightening iron after letting it air dry, and it looks great. Super shiny and soft. I didn’t get this shampoo hoping for thicker hair, but I can say it looks fuller as it’s not weighed down. My hair is thinner near my temples and sides, so if my hair gets fuller in those areas as a result, I wouldn’t complain. My hair sheds, not quite as much, but it still sheds. I can see some people not liking the scent, straight in the shower it is pretty intense, but you don’t go around smelling like you bathed in essential oils. It smells like clean, like lemongrass. I find it to be a very spa-like scent and I don’t mind it at all. Also, this bottle was purchased in February 2021 and I still have a ton left. A little goes a long way! If you’re questioning it, try it out! It helped my greasy mop!

Very happy
I've only used it three times so far, but it's working!! I have psoriasis on my scalp and recently had a really bad flare. The shampoo has calmed my itching burning scalp, it's a great clarifying shampoo but gentle. And the conditioner is extremely moisturizing and both smells very nice. Im very happy with the results and will most definitely purchase again.
