Second time's the charm! I bought one of these "used, like new." It arrived broken, with the left-hand side top compartment broken off, complete with hole in the bottom. I took a chance and ordered a second one, new this time, and it's great. The box is beautifully made and well finished. The compartments are a great size. I use it as a travel sewing box. I can fit all of my necessary sewing supplies, plus the small project that I'm working on. Highly recommended.

Have you ever bought a much needed object so beautifully crafted, and so well suited to its intended use, that you found yourself saving it for that perfect project? This is such an object. The recipient of this gift keeps it in her studio, in its original state, and continues to plan the perfect project for employing it.

So unlike a lot of the folks who bought this, I am using it for transporting perfuming tools, and it works disturbingly well. It's a little less sturdy than I would like, but for what it is, it should hold up fairly well, and it's VERY attractive, and feels fairly stable.

Using this for my leather tools, thread and small cutting pieces. The top is great to put my mallet and pony vise. Very satisfied with purchase.

When I received the package, the box was opened and there was no real protection to cover in case of any damage, but overall the product is really good, really sturdy and smooth wood! Very spacious as well.

Great item. But it was shipped in the lightweight cardboard box it left the manufacturer in. Not a shipping box. No packaging materials inside to cushion it. Point is the hardware hooks holding the trays in as the box is used were bent and crushed. Have to be replaced.as I said nice box so why not ship in a way that it will be in the same shape as when manufactured. Lazy Amazon.

This artist storage box is a real beauty. Very well made, lots of storage, operates nicely. I would have liked it better if the two top side compartments opened more, but truly the reason I returned it is it was too heavy for me.
